I bought a Tamron 90mm f/2.5 SP MF Macro Adaptall mount lens, but I can't seem to find the f18 Tamron 1:1 converter tube. Are there any substitutes available, or does anyone know of a place I can get one online?

I've been watching CL and ebay for sometime, and haven't seen any.

Aparently it was the contacts, when I push up on the lense it started working... here is my first Macro shot with this lens, my roomates teenage daughters Eye...

I think I love this lens

The lens and mount are connected perfectly.

Though, the problem I think may be the connectors on the mount.. I can click the shutter control with the mount off and it captures an image, though as soon as I attache the adapter (with or without lens), the camera ceases to respond to the shutter release button.

just got an adaptall 2 P/KA mount from a guy here in the forums to use with this Tamron 90mm 2.5 SP lens.. But when I attach the adapter to the camera, The LCD/viewfinder just flash F--- I thought this was supposed to work with this mount.

What am I doing wrong?

P.S. I refuses to shoot as well, and I've tried all the settings I can think of.

I bought a Tamron 90mm f/2.5 lens and I know I need a:
Tamron Adaptall 2 Adapter Pentax P/KA PK/A PKA
but I saw this: C02300 Tamron Adaptall-II Camera Adapter f/ Pentax K will that one work with manual focus?

I just won a Tamron 90mm f2.5 Macro SP Adaptall 2 lens in an auction. I read really good reviews on it, I know it's 1:2 while the newer f2.8 version is 1:1. So I need help with 2 things.

1. What adapter/adapters do I need to get this lens to fit on my K10D
2. What Tubes do I need to get this lens @ 1:1

A friend of mine who uses canon and another that uses nikon say thier ~50-200+ lenses have a built in Macro setting on the lense, that limits zoom and focus movement and allows Macro use. I was wondering why Pentax lenses don't have the same, and require you to purchase Macro specific Pentax lenses to acheive the same.

(When you order they will call and try to sell you bunch of extras and try and tell you to get Sigma lenses instead of Pentax ones, just tell them its a replacement and you don't need extras)

Hello folks, OZ here. The title rings in a bit of my personality (but not my grammar). I just took the leap into the DSLR arena, and after MUCH research value weighing and feature nit picking and questions, all over the internet (but primarily at dpreviews.com, their review and compare system is fantastic) I decided that the K10D would best fit my needs as well as my budget. I still know very little about histograms, color levels, saturation, aperature etc.... but I'm reading up on it. As for lenses... I grabbed 2 pentax lenses, the DA 18-55mm and the DA 50-200mm, as for the other numbers on them, I have no idea what the F4-5.6 means. But I'll learn. :D I hope to be bringing some nice photography here in time.

I'm from DFW, (Dallas, Ft.Worth) Texas, I'm 26 and for for Texas Instruments. I look forward to a good learning experience and exchange of knowledge with you guys. :)
