I agree. Also just to clarify, when I purchased the K5 it was the only DSLR in my price range that shot more than three bracketed shots. Thanks for the response.

Great photos. It's nice to see folks take the time to find subjects like this to photograph.

Please "like" this post if you use (or are interested in using) Pentax DSLR's for HDR photography. I own a K-5, and I love that I can shoot 5 bracketed photos. Most similar cameras from other manufacturers only shoot 3, which is often not enough. What other Pentax cameras are others using for HDR?

Take a look at this story: https://www.google.com/search?q=google%20glass%20trey%20ratcliff&safe=strict
The photos are interesting, and I love the idea of Google Glass. Real photographers are exploring what they can do with this. Obviously the quality will be nowhere near a high end DSLR, however there is a lot of hype around this product. Does anyone think that Pentax will be inspired to do something really different? If you want to continue to take steps forward, it becomes more and more critical to distinguish yourself from the competition. Do we play it safe or take some chances? Interested to see what a future Pentax looks like!

Have a K-5 and love it. At the price you can get it for at this point, I believe it is well worth it.

Interesting discussion. I've never used an ND filter but definitely see the benefits.

If you could pick just one zoom lens for landscape and nature photography, what would it be? Don't have extra money right now so need to pick one good general all around lens.

I own one (K-5). Would like to have picked up a K-01 I saw for sale locally (used) to use as a backup. Would be fun to at least try it out?

Photography is my most expensive hobby (other than eating). Last year I sold my Canon Rebel and all of my lenses to buy the K-5 (now discontinued). Still saving money to upgrade from the kit lens...

I've often wondered which Pentax camera Chuck Norris would pick. Probably not a point and shoot...not challenging enough. Probably not a top-of-the-line camera...that's not how he rolls. I'm thinking he would go with the same one I have...the trust ole K-5. It is somewhat middle-aged (for a camera), tough, and grizzled, just like Chuck. I did not mention weatherproof, but I'm pretty sure that Chuck is also weatherproof. Also I wouldn't think twice about punching someone with my K-5 if it ever became necessary. Thoughts?

With the right mic, can I get stereo sound on video recordings on my K-5? Definitely need a mic, but not sure what to get.

I currently own a Pentex K-5. Prior to purchasing this, I considered several mirrorless camera options. Many of these are small, fast, and they really pack a lot of options. Several times I have considered selling my K-5 because I have not been able to save money to buy any additional lenses. I also like all of the updated technology offered in many of the newer mirrorless cameras. The more I thought about it the more it made sense to stick with my K-5. Although it may not have all of the fancy options that some of the newer cameras have, you just can't be its image quality.
Still it would be nice to see Pentex competing in this emerging market. It seems like more and more photographers will be moving to this technology, and I would hate for Pentex to be left behind. The K-01 was a great idea and a great start, but it didn't last very long. Curious to see what happens, and hoping that Pentax can capture more market share.

Seems like there is a lot of interesting information available if you are willing to read through patent applications, and I'm sure this is some exciting reading.

Would like to see Pentax name continue on DSLR's. There is trust in a brand name that takes time to build.
