That is still most likely 6-7 months away before being released, and that is if they actually release it on time. Looking to get a new lens a little before then. Thanks for the idea though.

Going off of Grimlock's earlier thread, I am also going to be purchasing a wide angle, and as I shoot primes I would like to stick with one of these two. I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with both, and give me an idea as to which one tends to perform better.

Sigma currently makes the 4.5mm circular fish eye, but it is not available in the pentax mount. The 10-17 will give you roughly a 180 degree fov at 10mm, however it will not produce the circular effect that the sigma will.

Thanks for the advice...Buddah I always thought the 31 ltd would have been a good lens as well due to the focal length; looking through the meta info from previous shots it seems I hang around the 34mm focal length with the 16-50. However next time I go to Atlanta I will take a longer lens with me. I also was unaware that flash photography was allowed at aquariums. So perhaps I will give this a try.

Just wondering what lens would be best for shooting through the thick acrylic and low light setting in an aquarium. I currently use the DA* 16-50; while the results aren't awful, I am not extremely pleased with this lens under these light conditions. Any tips appreciated.
