Since i have my grip i never let him go because it is the best accesory.
And like i do not think it is that heavy, at least it is less than some lens so just enjoy it ;)
And like rzarbo say the effect of making the camera bigger is sometime usefull with people who do not know anything to photography and you look like more than a profesional and that trust me can help

Hi everybody!
I just join you and i amvery happy to be here. I am originaly French but i leave in the US so please understand that my english is not always perfect :p I am a student in High School in Gloucester.
I used since July my K10D and few lense and some accesorie:
DA 18-55 f3.5-5.6,Sigma 55-200 f4-5.6 DC, Sigma Aspherique 18-35 f3.5-4.5, Pentax SMC 35-80 f4-5.6; Sigma 35-70 f2.8-4; Samyang 80-200 f3.6; Teleconvertiseur Kenko 2x MC4 grip, Bogen Manfretto Monopod 679 and 484RC2 Mini Ball.
I hope i give all what you was expecting for
