Hi,

Thank You, for the reply.

I have almost only used the Tamron all the years, and I have at the moment no other lenses I can try on the camera.

I will try cleaning the elctrical contacts on the mount and try another lens from another Pentax-owner :)

I believe that my K-5 which I by now have had for some years, are starting to become less able to provide accurate autofocus.

It use longer time to get in focus, than it use to be (it has never been impressive). It makes a lot of focus hunt and make not always spot on focus on an object.

The lens I use is a Tamron 18-250 F/3.5-6.3 Di II LD.

Can I do something to correct it? Or is the camera / lens just worn / broken?

The pictures are taken in the Norwegian part of Barents sea, about 30 nautical miles from the coast.

Hallo,

The booms are there to disperse a liquid, which dissolves the oil, if an oil disaster should happen. They will hopefully never be used :)

p38arover - I had success with mounting the camera on a tripod and use a the remote trigger. I believe that I used manual focus.
