Thank you for the nice comments. I thought the bridge did to!
Thank you very much for the suggestions and I will definitely have to try that out next time. I tried doing some touch up in Lightroom to make the fireworks pop and the bridge less bright, but overall I was satisfied with the result.
Thanks! And I know, honestly, I have yet to see another Pentax camera running around the city

Thank you for the comments. And yes, there were approx. about 100 people in total all around just watching the sun set. It was a great atmosphere and feeling

Thanks, and that sounds like a more safe and better option than I made. I didn't even think about that. I may have to go back to get that angle. It could even be a better shot from back there.

I appreciate that. It was truly a unique and incredible experience. It flew almost directly overhead

I attempted to do a little of this as well, but couldn't get every single spot out. Thanks for the advice and compliment though
Thanks!

God I know :( I tried last night but I just couldn't do it that well and I was too tired. And I woke up and rushed outside to grab this photo and a few others. Turned out pretty well I think regardless

Thanks! It was my first time trying to catch lightning since it doesn't happen often at all here in Sac
Thanks!

Thank you! And I had a Tripod with an exposure set for 30 seconds at ISO 100. Just kept taking 30 second exposures and had this one pop up right in front of me but it was a little farther than it appears. It was perfect
Not exactly unfortunately, It wasn't as close as it looks and the rest of the lightning strikes were more off into the distance. It was incredible to watch for once

Understood. And never knew about the WB to sunny and I think that is a great piece of information to know. Also, do you or does anyone else know how to use mirror lock up on the KR?
Edit: Believe I figured it out. Must use self-timer for mirror to lock up. Which is better, 2sec or 12 sec?

Do you care to explain the proper equatorial mount with a clock drive and how that works exactly please? And link me to somewhere to buy it as well please
I've heard about this as well and I forgot all about it. Thanks for the tip. So this helps with the time between each shot correct? Because as of right now, sometimes it takes a minute to get to take another picture again if I did an exposure under one minute

Very true here. I'm gonna be going to Nevada City to camp and there is not much light pollution up there and I can see the milky way and all the stars on a moonless night.

Unfortunately I believe I do not have the RAW file. And this shot went straight from my SD to my computer, then to Flickr. I don't have much of any editing software either sadly. But thank you for the kind comments on the shot

I seem to notice a lot of noise that high when I zoom in. But I'm learning about new tools to download to get rid of noise but can't afford those options. Do you know of any free noise reduction software that is good?

It was very unique and cool, so I decided to snap a picture of it from far away. Snapped a lot of pictures that day!

Wow, that is phenomenal. I will definitely have to try the stacking format. I don't have photoshop. Do you know of any free alternatives to do this technique?
Thanks for the advice. I'm still learning about it all and appreciate your words.
These are great. Checked out your EXIF and I will definitely use these settings in the future. Thanks for the comments

Yes, I do have a tripod, and a pretty stable and good one. Sorry I forgot to mention that.
And thanks for the reply

I was on a walk along West Cliff Drive just outside of Santa Cruz and I noticed this man singing and playing a tune to the ocean all by himself and enjoying himself so I took a shot of him
