My latest acquisition is a Pentax K110D. Now I just need to learn how to effective use the thing. I am trying to make photography a new part time hobby.

I recently came across a K110D and I am hoping that I will be able to learn some things from you guys. My photography experiences doesn't extend much past a few point and shoot cameras and my cell phone. Any photography related tips and trick are appreciated. I have also been wondering what the differences are between Pentax brand lenses and off brand lenses. Is it quality, fit and finish, or function? Thanks.
