I've a used Pentax 17-70/4 mm zoom lens from eBay is excellent working order. But recently when I tried to use it on my K-5, I noticed that it does not focus and allows to click the camera, at the same time draining the camera batter fast. Has anyone faced similar problem? Any advise on what could be the problem or how solve it, will be highly appreciated.

Me too have been reading others' posts but this is the first time I'm writing one myself. I've Pentax K-5 and some lenses such as a kit zoom (18-55), pancake 40/2.8 and Pentax 17-70 mm. I noticed that my 17-70 mm zoom had suddenly stopped working. When I try to take pictures with this lens, the camera does not focus and battery goes down drastically. Any idea what could be the case of this malfunction?
