PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Sigma 20-40mm EX DG F/2.8 (mint) Asking Price
450.00 USD Item Location
Blue Mountains (Australia) Item Description
My absolute favourite landscape/travel lens for the K1!
Great range, tack sharp, and consistently produces the most wonderful images.
Condition is excellent, almost mint and barely used. Glass is clear. Fungus free and zero dust that I can see. Even the paintwork is unblemished!
Includes padded bag, front and rear caps and lens hood.
Hard to find these days - especially in such good condition.
It rates extremely high on the forum. Sigma 20-40mm F2.8 EX DG Lens Reviews - Sigma Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database
This was my reserve/back up version of this lens, and I never used it - the first one is still going strong. I just can't justify holding two of these nice lenses any longer.
Happy to post with insurance, tracking and signature on delivery. Thanks for looking. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Thanks for posting the clues on this. It is as easy as you say - I used Servisol Electronic Cleaning Solvent on cotton tips & it worked a treat. Another lens saved from paperweight duties. Thanks again.

Just got a K3 and it would look so much better with a new Fa31 poking out the business end.
Fingers and toes crossed.
And thanks for doing this BTW. Great idea and great lens.
Cheers.

Yep. This one does it for me. (I nominate this photo). Makes me want to go find it and hang a while. Very nice.

One of my first shots with the K5 when it was shiny and new.
10mm, 5 seconds and F11 triggered with a remote. A bit of lighting added with a head torch (and a lighthouse).
Bloody freezing morning from memory, but nice light. I liked to combination of the pebbled rock with the smoothness of the water.
Cheers from down here in Oz

A good suggestion Adam but yes, I clean regularly.
I'm using Servisol Electronic Cleaning Agent sprayed onto cotton buds, wiping over the camera and lenses where they connect. I don't think this is the problem (but I could be wrong).
I did forget to mention that the Auto focus is also affected by this problem - works when you tweak it anti clockwise and stops when you tweak the other way. Tested it on a few lenses with the same result.
Thanks again for the suggestion.

My trusty and much loved K5 seems to be developing what I think might be a wear issue. I'd be interested in hearing if I'm the only one it's happened to, and if there is a solution.
The problem appears as a flashing on the LCD in areas such as Time, Manual focus/Auto focus and focus pattern (all together). It wanders through different numbers looking like it can't settle on any particular combination.
It'll happen on different lenses and with different cards.
The only way it stops is by giving the lens a slight twist anti-clockwise (when viewed from the back). Nudging it clockwise brings back the flashing. There's no play, or slop, in the bayonet fitting that I can feel but I'm thinking there must be some connection that is right on the limit.
So... any clues?
Camera is 3 years old but well cared for and working fine in every other respect.

I've been a "user" for a couple of years now but have only just stumbled onto this forum. What a great place! Looking fwd to learning from all the experience on offer here.
Right now I have a K5, 16-50, 50 1.7M, 105 macro, and some extra space in the bag that needs filling.
Cheers.
