I have contacted with service center, they said it may cost about 130-160$ without delivering. What do you think about price?

Is it a common problem?

Pentax 18-135 3.5-5.6 repairable?

Two months ago my k-30 with 18-135 has fell from about 40cm height, but everything looked good and undamaged after that. But not while ago i found that my photoes become blurry in the right side with quite strong vigneting compared to other side, and it realy looks bad. I can manually set focus so that the right side is in focus, but other part of the shot is not. Dont now if the lens was damaged then it fell, or from some other disase, im not realy taken good care about them :(
The main question is are this lens repairable, or there is no chanses? I live in the middle of Russia, and the only service center in Russia is located in St. Petersburg, so i cant just go and ask them :)

Usually i use central focus point and then recompose. Even if original object of focus slightly out of DOF, still focus must be somewhere :)

Well... Im not that experienced, but usually motion blur easily detectable becouse of "strokes". Can it be that in 1/2500 of second i manage to shake camera in all directions to make such a perfect blur? :)

Looks like there is no evidence of such cases in this comunity, so its something unusual, and must be proved with another examples, to judge the origin.
Thanks to all, who parcticipate and share his points! I will try to use your thoughts to investigate this case closer.

Here is what i get with similar setup (200mm / 2.8) and same gear. 100% crop, exif must be there. Usually images looks this sharp, but once in while i get the result like one posted in the first message.
It was a bit postprocessed, but just a bit, no sharpening has been applied.

Hi!
Sometimes i get a result, where just no sharp objects, even if one of them in the DOF.
Just see for yourself: https://mega.co.nz/#!cpUkXb5Y!WEeDD2c8gQ4JUCuTN4J7ohRnLvMySo2XAy0q-hqNDwI , a raw file with all data keeped in it.
As you can see there is no action, but still image not sharp at all, even at 1/2500. Its not the lens problem, usualy pictures are much sharper, but sometimes images becomes like there is no DOF at all.
IS is off on both the body and the lens.
What do you think about it?

Totally agree, Im surprised as well. Even more, if you compare k-30 against 650D, the k-30 with thery nice handling and two dials looses on ergonomics and handling!
It looks like in this age video mode are much more important than two dials to the DSLR :)

Looks like i have an issue with sd card comparement door, particular with door-is-locked sensor. Sometimes the camera just doesnt switch on, and sometimes it does switches off while using. Open-close door procedure usually helping out. Right now im trying to figure out how stable this "bug". If it will continue to appear, i will have to send it to Germany (from Russia), where i brought it in online store. It will be a hard decision, as its a hard time, being without slr for months :) And it will costs me alot too.

I think that testing camera WR feature is a must, since it may lead to a big problem, if it will fail in the field because of some rainstorm.

I have used camera in a small rain without problem, but im worry about battery door. It is sealed, of course, but i have a feeling that it doesnt closing tight. I think i will test it without battery inside to see, if water comes inside or not.

Im russian living in Russia, and this sentence is deeply hurt me, and alot other people in Russia. This is just a piece of big pattern, where ppl who are freely protest against putin and his toy party of crooks and thieves (united russia pary) has been jailed at best, or has been beaten to death by some unknown guys. Im too bad at english to discribe well what happens in our country. Actually, villages and small towns across the country dying out literally counts dozens every year. All, who can afford to move from Russia (and they a good specialists) doing it. Russia is dying out. Putin with his friends pumping out gas and oil from the country, and other their deeds are just curtain. They have all mass-media in the pocket, to ensure people who doesnt use internet vote for them.

Luckily a new generation (like me, 30 y.o.) has never lived in the socialism, so they began to understand, what is a democracy about, and the count of such a awakened mans grows rapidly. Internet has dramatically increased information availability. Now it is much easier to show to the world an evil deeds of cleptocrats. They cant even create some kind of "great firewall", because the money they pick out to it will be plundered by their subordinates and the result will be futile.

Theoretically i have an option to migrate from Russia, as im a programmer, and it is relatively easy for me to find a job outside my country. But i decided to live in my Izhevsk town to support the city from dying, while many of my friends already moved to Moscow, St. Peterburg, or even abroad.

Thank you, Edgar, its realy nice to meet a man who understands :)

I has send them email, and they does make a refund right away. Pentax Singapore is a very good store, their feedback is nice, they always does reply me in 24h. They even agreed to honor an old price tag to 18-135 kit for me, but in the end FeedEx have cut the deal.

In the end, i has ordered this kit from computeruniverse.com for US$1261, but it is another story...)

My story with the buying from Singapore has ended today saddly. FeedEx has very outdated info about Russian customs fees. More than two year ago the duty free parcel value limit has been raised from 200 euro to 1000 euro. FeedEx refused to send package due its value more than 200 euro. Even the "cancel" status has been set a week ago, i still doesnt receive refund. Oh man, living in Russia is always a pain, especialy with Putin. Sorry for my "farting" :)

No, im an international buyer (from Russia), so the site price is final to me.
Anyway, thanks for the link, but it looks like they doesnt sell internationally, as i doesnt see a country change field in the checkout form.

By the way, Pentax Singapore had answered me (fast, as always), and im not sure i can publish the qoute, but it looks like drivingback are right about evil guys from Japan.

The Verge has published a review: Pentax K-30 review | The Verge

Is AF are as slow as it states in the review? They also says that camera feels cheap.
Not really an in-depth review by my taste, but i has been spoiled by dpreview's deepness and even academical approach, so reviews from other resources looks amateurish :)
