WOW!
The sticker on the back of a camera body does not make it any less a camera??
Its just a sticker FFS!!
As for being turned down for weddings because you use Pentax...what tosh!
Clients couldn't care less, just as long as the images are of high quality (which they are on the K3,...and the K5)....if you go down that lane, might as well go to Nikon/Canon

the great thing about these 8mm lenses is you dont need to focus it!!
just set the focus ring to about 1.5m to 2m and leave it.
Hyperfocus means that everything from about 1ft (if not closer) to infinity will be in focus.... :)

Hi gang

I've had a problem today with my K5.
When I took, or tried to take, a photo, I pressed the shutter as normal, and the camera went click and I felt the mirror go up, but it stayed up?
The shutter speed was set at 100sec so not on long timer..I had to take the batteries out to reset the shutter.:(

Has anyone else had this trouble.

Cheers

buying one from the States will cost me nearly £100 (about $156)
Making one sounds ok,..but need to get the unique cable to put in the port/hole in the camera...its not a normal round one.

Sooooo,...

Looks like saving my cash and eventually buying one. :o

Thanks for the posts guys...

HI gang

I'm using the remote assist to help save loading time via the card, but my K10D's batteries keep going.
Is this normal?

How many shots can you normally get with a fully charged battery whilst tethered?

Cheers

It does seem that with in this forum you can only say nice things about Pentax.
If I feel let down by a very flat announcement after such a big build up, I have to bite my lip and cool it., otherwise I'll get stupid childish posts, or images...

As for leaving Pentax,...no, not yet...
I am changing the way how I work, the FF would have been perfect for the high ISO in ambient and natural lighting...
I love Pentax, been my working partner for years. Love the fact I can still use my older lenses on my DSLR......
I am not alone in wanting a FF.....if you dont want one, then fair play...but please leave me the right to say how unhappy I am without stupid posts in reply....we're all adults (I think), so act like it.

The high ISO I like to use would be better in FF....I dont want to leave Pentax, I've been a fan all my photography life...love them.
just disappointed...

As for using cameras out of work....I still have my MZs :) ...
best 35mm they made IMHO
