Thanks!

I actually don't have that lens anymore. That was shot back in 08. Since then I have sold off that camera, been through a few others, gave up on photography, then recently came back with a K20D.

I have a 50mm manual lens, so I will just have to wait for the step up ring I ordered.

Using a reverse ring for macro

So I get this reversing ring for my K20D and 18-55mm DA WR, and I pop it on and start to mess around and it isn't long before I realize there is a problem. I have watched a few Youtube videos on the subject of setting your aperture on AF lenses before taking them off of the camera, and that involves holding down the DOF preview button while simultaneously removing the lens. This apparently works fine if you are a Canon user, but the more mechanical nature of the Pentax lenses means that there is nothing holding the lever in place one you remove the lens. Does anyone know of a work around for this?

I have a step up ring coming so I can use the reversal ring with my manual lenses, but that hardly helps me at the moment.

I am just wondering, have you used this flash/transmitter combo? In order for the flash to work on camera you have to switch it to camera mode, which turns off the wireless mode. The light does stop blinking then, however in order for the flash to receive the transmitter's signal you must switch it into wireless mode, not S1 or S2, but the mode which uses the icon for wi-fi. In that mode the light blinks, so your suggestion makes no sense.

It is in M, not S1 or S2. If I put it in M with the lightning bolt symbol like it would be if I had it on camera it doesn't blink. If I put it on M in wireless mode it blinks.

Okay, so i ordered a YN560-TX and two YN560-III's. I got the transmitter in yesterday, and my first flash arrived today. I have been toying around with them and playing with settings and whatnot since the flash got here, and I have noticed something odd, to me at least. I am new to off camera wireless flash stuff, so this may be completely normal, but I have noticed that whenever the flash it on the little red light on the front constantly flashes ever couple of seconds. Does anyone know why this is, and if I can turn it off? It is quite distracting, and I am sure it would be an incredible nuisance in a public setting. It is bad enough that the camera rig plus lights, and the flash itself is drawing attention. That is just one more thing.

No, I just didn't have it in "X". A year and a half after ditching all my Canon gear and I am still thinking like an EOS user.

I haven't performed the surgery yet. Mostly due to a lack of free time. But I do have an adapter for my Oly Pen camera for K-Mount lenses, so I just plugged it in there and shot a few quickies. The result is intriguing enough to make me actually want to convert the lens for use on my K20.

Thanks Adam!

I actually did try to search for the answer, but I guess i just didn't know the correct search terms, and my lenses were bought used on ebay, so I didn't get manuals with them.

Sadly the lens did not survive the process of removal.

Oddly enough it would seem that glass lenses don't get along very well with concrete floors.
