Here's a couple more...
RAW conversions via Olympus' tool. Minor edits (small crop, mono convert for one, other minor adjustments) via snapseed.

My wife and I played tourist around Melbourne last weekend, and as mentioned previously, I took the XZ-1 with me. Here's one from the day.
All was going well until the battery died though. My estimate is 100-120 shots form it. Subsequent research has shown anecdotally that the XZ-1 can be power-hungry if used sub-optimally. I'm not quite sure what I can do with my uage to improve this, but I have invested in a couple of larger capacity batteries while I figure it out. It's still my travel-camera-of-choice though.

Oh wow...! It certainly is a very capable camera - better than I thought it would be.
My wife and I are off into the city (Melbourne) on Sunday for a walk around; I'll take the XZ-1 along and give it a good workout.
Many thanks for the link! :)

I use Picasa for importing. Shove the card in the reader, Picasa import window pops up. It detects duplicates. I can select by date, or individual pics. I can see thumbnails of all images. I specify the destination directory (this is slightly cumbersome) and let it rip.
Once everything has been imported, I can continue with Picasa or use an alternative package.
My 0.02; hope this helps. :)

This has been an interesting thread for me...
I'm off to Europe next year with my wife - France and Italy over a month or so. Normally I would take my K5 with Pentax 18-135 lens and other ancilliary stuff, but we'll be doing lots of walking and I'm a bit dubious about lugging all that stuff (and everything else one tends to need to carry) around day-in, day-out.
I also have a XZ-1 with a VF-3 viewfinder and have been considering taking that. I have greatly appreciated the links people have provided showing the XZ-1 in similar situations, as well as the photos put up - many thanks! Based on these, and my own experiences with this little gem, I think the XZ-1 will be my weapon of choice. I suspect that the difference in IQ compared to the K5 will be more than made up for by its compact size; its also less conspicuous (not sure if that's as much an issue in Europe as elsewhere). And I think my neck and back will thank me alot too. :-)

Hi from another Aussie...
I took the 18-55mm around the south island of NZ a few years ago, attached to my ist-DL and both served me admirably. Like you I upgraded to the K5, but got the 18-135 with it. I took that combination to Thailand last year and found the extra length most beneficial. The K5 and 18-135 make for a good weatherproof travel combination. It's going to Europe with me next year.

Picture windows pro. Or, if in a rush, Picasa... Version 3.9 is quite nifty.

Another Aussie here, with the same addiction, but a sensible partner who "helps me manage it"... :-)
