From those of you who have K5 already can you tell me when shooting in RAW how many images you get on 4,8,16 and 32Gb cards. I've been using 4's in my K10 and K20 for years now.

I tent to use Lexar Professional 133x SD Cards. Always reliable and very fast, great for bracketing, HDR or continuos shooting

Hey guys,
Have any UK members got opinions about 3rd party replacement batteries for the K10D and recommendations of UK retailers? The existing thread re: this contains manly US sites. I was wondering what experiences users had with what is available in the UK.

Hey AKiss,
I just dug my Extreme II out of my camera and your right very slight rattle. I think you'll find it's the overwrite lock slider. Try holding it by that corner......
Hope this helps

I like the first, though i'd reduce the exposure of the tree trunks, i think....could be the contrast on this monitor.
Perhaps in the second you could have made more of a feature of the sign.....one tip I've found that makes all the difference to composition is to imagine a naughts and crosses grid draw on the image. Place the subject where the lines cross as this is where your eyes tend to end up and us humans like things given to us on a plate.

Brilliant!
I would like to venture in the DA* range, but having just bought my K10D I'll have to wait. Mind you. I'd like to start with the 16-50 but given some of the reviews i've read i'm a tad unsure.
What lens did you use to take the money shot?

OK thanks guys.
Right the five originals were taken at sunset on very grey, very overcast day. I bumped up the contrast and saturation during the HDR conversion as i felt the images was somewhat drab. That's why it looks so vibrant thomasjmpark. The chimney pots and the buildings were a pale cream combined with low sun.....as a result of the afore mentioned process they became the 'yellows' you were asking about JCSullivan.
daacon you mentioined the sky seemed 'soft' I'm not sure i understand what you mean, does it lack detail.....or........???

Hey,
Thanks for all the comments guys. Very useful. I am starting to get excited about my new K10D. I'm not that excited about the weather here. It was -2 when i took the photos of the anchors.
I'm finding the K10D considerably different from the *istDS that I used before. I really need to get out and take loads of shots with it so I can get used to it. I'm a tad concerned with the autofocus/sharpness of focus on the K10. I'm halfway through a small experiment, the results of which I'll post soon for your opinions.
Thanks again

it's the original, the faster of the frames is 1/45 and it was hand held i'm afraid.
