I have considered the reports of high iso performance discussed on the forum. The K30 performs well. Pop up flash is not an issue,I prefer a manual flash when needed.
It is kind of difficult to find a " utility player" in the camera world. I'm not talking about a camera that does all but one that can do most well. I'm not a Pro and I don't expect pro level results. Just a good all around player. Pardon the baseball references but the season has started! ---------- Post added 04-04-17 at 07:00 PM ----------
Juneau is on the itinerary! Had a great experience with humpbacks in Nova Scotia this summer. Will definitely try it out. Thanks for the advice. ---------- Post added 04-04-17 at 07:03 PM ----------
A bucket of bolts held up in the air by a propeller! That's a chopper. ---------- Post added 04-04-17 at 07:10 PM ----------
What is your favorite niche of photography? What do you think the K3ii excels at ?

Yongnuo 560-IV and 603IIC triggers for the older extra flashes. Around 100 USD. Nice build and good value. Just got mine from Santa and I am impressed.

Tanzer and Miked thanks . I shoot mostly outdoor photos and working at an airport gives me a unique opportunity to photograph airplanes and occasional wildlife. Flash work is an area I need to improve on. All the advice is a welcome learning experience!
