My only suggestion is to steer clear of non-prescription glasses. They often do more harm than good. I know it's expensive, but it will be better for your eyes if you see a professional and get glasses made specifically for you, to suit your eyes.

I really like the colour version, it looks sort of dreamy and wistful with the yellow tinge. It's a gorgeous shot.

I had a piano that looked a bit like that... I miss it, even though it never stayed in tune for more than a week! Ended up selling it and bought an electric keyboard with the proceeds. It's not quite the same...

I'm a bit jealous of all you people who have so many lenses that agonising is an option! haha

Thank you. :) I was taking a series of shots, there were lots of smiles and lots of splashes, but I think this was my favourite! An accident. haha.

Some people just like how it looks. I think it works very well for some photos, but not all. I guess it comes down to personal preference, same as most things!

I've always been of the opinion that less is more when it comes to processing or editing after the fact. The photo is what it is, it's how I took it, that is how it looks. I might occasionally make some slight adjustments to brightness or contrast, but generally speaking I think that if I can't just take the photo how I want it to look, I should try harder at photography, not editing! hehe.

Wow, I had always assumed the image was a digital creation, not a photograph at all.

That is just beautiful. I'm a sucker for photos (and paintings) of boats, or water-themed images. :)

I've enjoyed reading the posts and seeing the pictures here... I'm just starting to get into astrophotography with my K-r, looking forward to learning new techniques. :)

Hi all! I'm Stace, from Melbourne Australia.
I've been interested in photography for a while, but was making do with a point'n'click until this March when I got my Pentax K-r. So I've been practicing and learning and loving it, and thought a forum like this might help me learn even more. Looking forward to getting to know you all!
A couple of my specific interests at the moment, things I'm loving photographing, are the patterns of food colouring dropped into water, and also - since getting a tripod recently - the STARS! Love it. :)
