Yes it was recorded in JPEG. I have to tell you a little story tho.......I ALWAYS shoot in RAW. My daughter just told me that she was fartin' around with my camera "the other day". When I took it with me that day, I assumed it was still in RAW. The sun reflecting on the snow was sooooo blinding that day, that I couldn't see ANY of my settings. I was just focusing (with my 50mm prime) and shooting. Long story short, I am SICK of winter as I have too many white pics. LOL

Am I SOL in fixing this ? It was such a bright day and I couldn't see the settings on my camera. Obviously the white balance was way wrong.

I can't seem to get the lens to autofocus. I have the setting on the side of the camera on "AF" but I have to manually turn the lens to focus. What am I doing wrong?

Got my Pentax A 50mm 1.7 today. I have attached it to the camera (K100D). The AV -- readout is flashing and I can't press the shutter release button. Is there something I am not doing right or something that I am missing with this lens?

No no no I didn't mean it that way. I just really thought that I was the only one who hardly picked up their camera.

That is EXACTLY how I feel! Just no time to enjoy the things we enjoy most in life! Oh and I am happy to hear that I am not the only one who MIGHT get an hour a week in for shooting pics. :(

Just a sorta fun thread...on average, how much time do you spend taking photos in a week? Is this in addition to working full time or is this a full time hobby?

OK so i have lost 3 bids on ebay because my highest bid has been a maximum of 50 dollars.(for a smc Pentax A 50mm 1.7 prime lens) Buyers are bidding way more than that! Are you sure I can get one for about 40 on ebay? And why do I see some sellers listing that lens for well over 150 dollars? I guess I just need to be patient for the right one to come along?

I found this article and I am definately thinking of getting a used prime lens. I will keep my eye out for one on ebay. Thanks for all the informative posts!
