Are you saying no one has taken your trade and it is still open? Please email me at mshook@racercpa.com. I don't have your email so I can't send you a pm. I really don't like going through the Pentax forums to carry on a discussion. I don't understand how this thing works.
Regards,
Martin ---------- Post added 01-12-16 at 12:58 PM ---------- I'm still interested. mshook@racercpa.com. I don't like going through the Forums.

Thanks for quick reply. I am considering. Have you used a Pentax 60-250 or F*300/4.5? Can you compare? Can you shoot some test charts?

Martin

I see the slot for the motor drive on the back of the lens, but I don't see any electrical pins. I assume this means no AE functions. Image stabilization would require manual input of focal length if shooting hand held. Do I have this basically right? Any other limitations?

Martin

Pepe,I will take your trade. I just purchased an F*300 4.5 from another Pentaxian and don't have any shots taken with it that I can send you, but it shoots test charts as good as my 60-250 and front/bank focus came in with a -5 adjustment on my K5IIs. It has the original tripod mount, very beefy and sturdy but easily removable and a small ding in the lens hood. Front and rear caps are generic. Glass is clear, action is good. I can send you a few pics if you send me email address. I am not a birder and I don't do sports photography. I just wanted a little more reach than my 250 for the occasional nature shoot so the additional size and weight does not concern me. I usually shoot from a tripod. Does your have the tripod mount?

Martin

I have decided this is the lens I need to complete my collection. (Is one ever finished?) There is another one available that I have made an offer on but it doesn't have the tripod mount. I would be willing offer more for your lens, although I really don't need another uv filter. Please pm me if you open to negotiating price. mshook@racercpa.com.

I would like to have a very good Pentax macro. I have a 90mm Tamron, but I think the Pentax is a bit better. How does your 100mm compare with the newer or current Pentax macros? Please email me at mshook@racercpa.com to discuss.

It is in perfect condition. Front and rear caps and hood. I can send you pics if you like. Just bought the Sigma 17-70 C. I think $300 is a fair price.
