Oh, yes. Those limited lenses have magical glass. Combined with your talent, I now understand why you produce such great photos. I only own the 31mm ltd. Now with the K-1 out, I might invest in the 77mm for portrait as well.
Keep up the good work.
Cheers!

I love your portraits. Which lens do you usually use for these? I mainly shoot people with my DA*50-135mm or my FA-50 1.4 (K-5).
Cheers!

Good idea... let's keep this thread alive! ― Kildare de Luxe car show featuring The Straight Pipes Trio. K-5 with DA* 50-135mm f2.8...
We had to stop to put some air in a tire before the show. This was not staged!! lol! (my good friend Lewis). :D This was shot with a Fujifilm X100s, not with a Pentax. |

Some pictures shot at a car show last Saturday, all X100s and all shot in JPEG and edited in Lightroom 3.
And of course, a car show isn't a car show without a pinup contest. ;) |

Mmmm? I'm not sure a X100 will suffice in such conditions. If you look at my She and Him set on my blog for example, I've used 2 different cameras. I first took the X100s out of the bag but then I soon realized it was way too wide. Sure, I did capture the whole stage with it but I had to take the K-5 with a 18-135mm out after a while for the closer shots. Just as a reference, I was sitting dead center at about the 10th row. You'd be better off with something small that can zoom, like an X-E1, X-Pro1... or an Olympus OMD which is also good in low light and focuses very fast. Just my 2 cents.;)

The International Montreal Jazz Festival is finally underway. I shoot mostly with the K-5 but I always carry my X100s with me for my "street photography" blog shootings. Here are two pictures shot in JPEG.
Day 1: "Loto-Québec's scene sound board and onlooking crowd".
"Beer Stand"
Day 2: "Mister Soundman..." ― Place des Festivals.
"Looking for the Scene"
