titan colored?! jeee - if they truly wanted to make it a special edition, they would have made the body from titanium - now that would be a collectors item!

Hi, EU shipping may be a option if I don't sell it in the UK. How would u want to pay for the item? I don;t have a PayPal account, so would have to be a bank transfer I imagine.
I will check what postage would be to..?! (where in the EU?)
Thanks

Hi, this lens has served me well. It is a solid performer and equally solid built. I have used this on many occasions and its one of my favorites, never letting me down. It is the older version of the Sigma, so does not have HSM, but seeing that the depth of field is so great on this lens, I cannot see much advantage in the HSM focus. Its pretty damn fast on the K10D (have not tried it on the K20D).
There is a review about this lens on Photozone (Sigma AF 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC (Pentax K) - Review / Test Report)
The condition of the lens is excellent. There is no scratch (always used with UV filter), internal dust, fungus or haze. Extrnally it has some very slight marking on the flower hood and the focus ring - this is normal for a two year old lens I imagine. I will add some pictures soon, so you can see for yourself.
Postage to UK only, shipping included and it comes in original box, with manual and lens hoods (rear and front). Any questions please PM me or post here.
Two samples are here:
Please send me a private message if interested in the item!

...so where is this new DSLR?! - in the meantime have ordered the Solmeta N2 for the Nikon D300.... having GPS is one thing, having the firmware allowing that data to be written to the EXIF is a totally different kettle of fish

have you all checked that you are using the viewfinder cover, IF you are holding the camera in such a way that your eye is not covering the viewfinder. Have had issues with that in the past, when shooting images 'from the hip' so to speak. random over and under exposures on my K10D..
just a though - it may affect the output for the flash

well, I am a user of the Sigma 70-200/f2.8. the lens is fine and is rather sharp. I am not sure if mine focuses as accurately as I like it, but I will try and get that focus adjusted when I get the K20D.
With regards to using a converter... I have a Sigma 2x converter with it. In good light it works very well, but in dimm light its seems a little less sharp and autofocus tends to do a lot of hunting (on the K10D at least).
If you want to use it at airshows, I think you would be a very happy bunny on this combination - fast focus, sharp, ability to frame quickly using the zoom, and its still 'handholdable' (I hardly use a tripod anyhow, but people with weaker arms may want to).

..to my best of knowledge there are no more Sigma 70-200 available. The last few in London went out last Nov form Spectrum Photography in Warren Street (guess not being online, they had a few left, as people need to call or visit to find out).
I was looking for this one for about 5 months in 2007, untill I finally bought a second hand one from a chap in Germany (Euro 700.00). If you find one I would go for it, even at GBP 550.00 its a great lens!

sneaky it may be, but can be a live saver sometimes.... lets say you are witness to some horrific crimes and you happen to have some images on that card, but you not sure if you manage to get the card out of the place/country.
Would be nice to be able to hide them and let the immigration/military/minders/etc check you card and be safe in the knowledge that they won't see anything they shouldn't (and prey they hand the whole kit back to you at the end of their inspection...)

...ok. enough about this K20D. Move along folks there is nothing to see here.
Nice work on the sensor, but lets put this beauty into a proper body (alloy or dare I say it, Titanium) that has some of the fastest focus, best fps and 16bit colour and give LiveView a miss please...
oh, and can the K1 please have the following:
- audio annotations (shutter pressed, sound recorded for user specified period) Photojournalists will thank you (don't bother with Video!)
- GPS data captured with image and addded to EXIF
- wifi built in, or at least available with an optional grip
- allow it to connect devices and disks via standard USB interface (so you won't need a PC for file transfer)
- option to hide images
- 100% viewfinder
seems all doable and would make for a good journalist camera!

well, lets wait a little... there might be those landscape photographers. Can't see a rainbow being that fast that it requires a shooting rate of 6 fps :)

Could you please refrain from discussing anything here unless directly commenting on the frame rates of the K20D.... mmmh
Would love to see how many of you like an adjustable frame rate. Like something where we can increase the frame rate from between 20/sec at 1.6Mp all the way to 3/sec at 14.6 Mp. And I like this to be RAW+JPG.
so please vote - even if Pentax is not looking
