Anyone know where to buy a replacement rubber protective plug that covers the contacts for the battery grip on the bottom of the K-5?

I highly recommend going to Copper Hill Images and reading through their wonderfully complete information on cleaning and maintaining lenses and camera sensors. Their products are superb and their instructions complete and easy to follow.

Caught this little guy foraging for food, so we set out a bowl of grain in the snow and wow, did he ever go after it!

Thanks for your service Heie! I'm a retired LTC (Army) and CDR (Navy), 32 years total.
Since my family and I give each other stuff all year long and use the reason of holidays in general, I got a brand new K-5 IIs a few months ago and my wife called it a very early Christmas present! Of course, we get other stuff on Christmas morning too! I am eyeing an Olympus OM-D at the moment. We'll see.

We don't have a revenue problem. We have a POTUS and a democratic party that simply can not stop spending insane amounts of money. This POTUS has spent more in 4 years than all other president's combined and he is systematically destroying the union with his socialist policies. I don't expect our Kool-Aid drinking friends to understand that money is not an unlimited commodity, but I fear we are going to find out the hard way one day soon unless something radically changes. I am not trying to start an argument here, but our elected representatives (and that includes our president) had better wake up and start doing the right thing for ALL AMERICANS!

Found this guy just off the beach at Lower Trout Lake in the Bald Mountain Recreation Area, Lake Orion, Michigan.
Appeared not to be afraid of people at all!

You'll love it! I have the same setup and shoot mostly landscapes with a DA*16-50 lens. I have a Canon 5D Mark II also and I prefer the Pentax. Simply stunning photos. I have not any moire problems either!

Love the horses Paul. I'm going to try and get out this weekend if the weather cooperates and get some new trail shots. We'll see. The weather here in SE Michigan has been terrible; very wet and foggy. Hopefully the sun will come back soon!

Wow guys, that's great. Love the contrast between David's and Arnold's winter vs summer shots! Did you guys plan it that way?

Hi Nick-I lived and worked in Naples for 3 years between 1992-95. HATED IT! I found Naples dirty, stinky, rude and impossible to navigate. Having said that, the food is out of this world and the history and photographic opportunities are endless. Five minutes outside Naples in virtually any direction is a whole new world; the Amalfi coast, Pompeii, the islands of Capri and Ischia, well you get the idea. If you have a chance to take the jet ferry to Capri and bring lots of SD cards and batteries. One could take 1000 pics in a day!
Have a great time and post some photos when you get the chance.

Count me in too. I feel extremely fortunate that I bought DA*16-50 and a DA*60-250 last year for reasonable prices (expensive, yes, but nothing like what they are selling for now).

Actually Nick, that's really cool (pun intended)! Looks like the photo was processed using cyanotype which adds to the winter mood. I like it!

I'm a dyed in the wool Democrat, but I would like to go on record as saying that in a year or two, nearly everyone in this country is going to wish they voted for Romney. I agree his personality leaves something to be desired, but IMHO, the presidency is not a popularity contest nor should it be. Romney with all his faults remains a brilliant business man which this nation desperately needed. I fear we made a tragic error in re-electing Obama. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
