hey everyone, i'm david. really appreciate the forum. i have been stalking it for the last couple weeks or so. great info, great community, and looking forward to learning a lot here!
i've been working my way up from a k100d super 4 years back to just purchasing the k5 just last week. and yes, i know they just discontinued it.
but after a good bit of research and wringing of hands, i really feel like pentax has always offered the best bang for the buck, and honestly (with a couple of missed opportunities on the AF side), i feel like the quality of my pictures compares really well with friends who have canon or other much more expensive setups. i mean, obviously, with editing software, anyone can do some work afterwards to make a good image great, there is something to be said about a great, affordable camera that consistently captures 'wow' moments.
i live in atlanta and hope to shoot some great stuff.
