What is happening here is that I set date and time, then select settings complete, and it then displays date and time, so far so good.... and even shows them when I shoot, but when I turn the camera off, and then back on again, they appear to reset and so the camera starts in settings mode. Any suggestions? Thanks

New to this, got my new RX18 and have it all configured and shooting BUT it forces me through two menu presses to bypass the settings screen before I can shoot. Manual does not seem to have any guidance on this. Does anyone know how to configure so when I turn it on its ready to shoot rather than ready for settings. Sure appreciate your help

Hello, New to this web site. After many years with a trusty Pentax Spotmatic, it has now gone to that great photo album in the sky and I now have a Optio RX18. Alas, when it starts up, it ALWAYS takes me to settings, which needs 3 presses of menu to get to shoot a pic. Does anyone know how I can get it to start up and bypass settings so i can immediately shoot pics.
