It's a long shot in digital era. People who remember these cameras are probably extinct by now :)
But here's a question: My 2003 *istD body is still working, but front focusing a lot. Back in the day there was a way to adjust it for K100D, K10D, etc cameras via the service menu.
Was this ever available for *istD? Or the only adjustment on these cameras are made mechanically in Pentax service center?

Razor sharp even wide open, and will cut your fingers off if you will stop it to 2.8
Great contrast and colors, probably the best optics I've ever had. To my liking, this one is way better then FA 77 Lim
Optically perfect. No defects on glass, no oil on blades, no markings on lens barrel. Focusing is smooth and accurate.
I am selling this "little treasure" only because I recently moved to FUJI system .
I bought this lens in B&H over a year ago, pouch, box with papers, lens shade and original metal lenscup are included.

Sharp and contrasty plastic fantastic telezoom. This is Metal Mount version, not cheap "L" version. When I was buying it I hand picked it from several copies. Lens is tack sharp.

Pentax K01 camera body + SMC Pentax A 50mm F2 lens.
Mark Newson signature yellow, aka "yellow brick".
Camera was purchased in spring 2013 and still under Pentax warranty.
Camera has no problems or defects whatsoever and is working like new.
This is 16 mp, really well build, mirrorless "K Mount" compact camera that uilizing the same sensor and internals as K30-K5-etc.
SMC Pentax A 50mm F2 lens is electronic aperture, manual focus. It is sharp and extremely easy to focus and operate on this camera.
Camera comes with strap, battery, charger, box, manual, and cables.
I love the camera, it is focusing perfectly in any conditions (in fact way better then my FUJI X-E1), and takes great pictures.
But I am not using it due to the fact that I switched system. Perfect camera for these old MF K Mount lenses

This is exactly what I was referring to. Camera itself is not meant to be held in hands, it needs a bunch of acceeeessories in order to be used. Thumbgripps, special leather half cases, bottom grips.
I see this a lot on FUJI X forum. A very neat and small X-E1 with a bunch of thingies and doo hickies attched to pure thing that made it the size of K5.

This is a good industrial design exercise, but try to shoot with Spotmatic or MX. Compare to a modern camera it is soooo unbalanced and uncomfortable, it's not even funny.

I also read review that XF 18-55mm is not sharp at 55mm until stopped to F8. A very respectful site indeed it was, don't remember off the top of my head.
Yeah, that review made my day, LOL. I think I am done with sites that review equipment for a while now, they are pretty much useless.
Rent the camera go out and shoot, you'll see for yourself. This lens is sharper then my Pentax primes, except probably FA 43.

There's absolutely 0 value in comparing this DA=cropped lens to any of the FF lenses you mentioned here. Apple to oranges. Compare it to APS-C, here's a good one for you - Fuji X 18-55 2.8-4 OS. It's a kick ass lens, just like any other lens FUJI is offering with the X mount.

This 18-135 is like new, sharp and do not have any problems, scratches, etc.
I purchased, and used this lens on my K01 for one week vacation. It is really versatile with this range, sharp and focuses accurately and quietly with DC motor.
Lens comes with both cups, and white box. There was no hood with this lens, lens was part of the lens+body kit. Purchased this summer and is practically new.
