I do hope the mount ring design stays the same so that i can use my PK+MM and Olympus OM lenses on it when that FF day comes. *Pray*

Yes, some Nikon glass do look good on that mirrorless K-01. Looking forward to see more adapted lenses.

I would like to update some new information here about PK+MM.
The mirror box chamber seems to be preventing some lenses with long mount guard at rear element from mounting on. A clearance of 9mm from mounting surface of the adapted lens is required as shown below. |

Nice find. I can now see a HDMI logo on the rubber cover at the side of the white body. Nice addition there.

I know that this is an old thread but I had an experience that I think that weather resistant body cap would be an insurance. In my perspective, WR also meant dust-resistant too. I have many adapted lenses (nikon, olympus, yashica, etc) and swop them to use quite a bit now and then. Most of the time, a body cap is used instead of lens. The standard white cap seems to have a gap when I put on my K-30 and sometimes, i realise small specks of dust (City air is full of them everywhere) does enter the mirror box. While a blower does the job, it would be good if the body cap does seals. I would prefer one that locks securely too, my body cap pops off when in the bag at times. Better still, make a metal one for those accidental knocks. Afterall, the sensor is inside.

My guess for the front button: A second shutter release for "S"elfie shots using the thumb. That position seems easier to press the shutter with a thumb. It also helps in holding the camera single-handedly. The Q system never fails to intrigue me.

To Grahame, the PK+MM for WR bodies like your K10D is now available. Do note its limitations though.

For those interested, PK+MM for WR bodies and K-500 is now available. Do note that WR is not totally preserved due to support of Nikon F mount.

Since this compeition had many entries and as I was viewing through the many entries, I realise that the gear that was used to take the entries were not appearing as subjects.
Therefore, as I was intending to take some photos fo my film camera when I realised that my shooting set up was more interesting, consisting of different various brands as listed: PENTAX K-30 fitted with a DIY Battery grip with vertical shutter release function, and a OLYMPUS Vari-Magnifier viewe-finder, mounted with a NIKON 28-70 F3.5-4.5 AFD mounted using Pentax K+ Multi Mount (WR version production sample), assisted with a MINOLTA AUTO320X flast set at 1/16 (with coloured plastic sheets), optically triggered on a RICOH SLR mounted with a TAMRON Adaptall adapter as a flash stand, shooting a CONTAX SLR mounted with a YASHICA 50mm F2 lens, beside KODAK and FUJIFILM 35mm film cartridges, Most of the items, set-up were learnt from this forum. We certainly do not neccessary have to stick to a certain brand in photography. Thanks to all forum contributors in one way or another! |

What a conicidence. This morning, I took out one of my stacked away lens that came with other lens from my LBA and it is the same lens you have. Mine is Focal brand but design, build, mount and i guess the weight too is the same. And yes, the F3.5 is constant throughout when zooming using the zoom ring (turns a quarter of a circle only to get from 80-200). Heavy lens that will tire your wrist.
Took some test shots wide open indoors and it is quite good. CA is obvious but as expected of most zoom lenses frrom its era. Will try to upload some shots of interesting subjects when I can.

I am glad to see some nice entries and this giveaway is still ongoing and accepting entries until 16th March.
Also, here is a piece of good news.
This version of the PK+MM has been verified to be compatiable with K-01. Yes, the Marc Newson designed mirrorless K mount 16 megapixels ILC with focus peaking function.
Thanks to Caver for his help in this verification.

From my research, its not quite possible as there are quite a few things involved which cannot be solved:
1. aperture lever positions are different.
2. Focus screw position is different.
3. Lastly and most importantly, signal protocol for exposure and autofocus between Nikon and Pentax are different and not available to anyone..

I did not realise another thread has started other than the one I created some time ago about PK+MM. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/6-pentax-dslr-discussion/247977-manual-focus-galore-nikon-f-olympus-om-c-y-konica-ar-mount-lenses-pentax-dslr.html
I will try my best to answer any questions if you have any. Looking at previous posts, here are some answers:
1. The price is SGD$98 which is about US$78 and excludes international shipping costs of SGD$5 (about US$4).
2. Maybe my website is not specific enough but this current version is only for non-WR DSLR (except K-500 which uses the same WR mount ring as WR K-50).
3. I am currently working on the WR version and hoefully, should be released and ready to ship in a few months time.
4. A word of caution. I do not recommend users new to DSLR or Pentax to try the PK+MM. Original K mount lenses are very good (almost best?) and these camera "modifications" only for the more experienced (and adventurous).

Here is my entry for the February 2014 Monthly Contest. Technically, these are not "real" trees as they are giant 12-16 storeys high man-made structures shaped like trees in Singapore's Gardens by the Bay's Supertree Grove. Taken in the evening.

I had considered that option before but huge amounts of funds was not really required for this product to materialise. And to gather publicity through Kickstarter seems to require more efforts (with less results) than posting on Pentaxforum especially when you have a product that appeals only to Pentaxians AND manual focus users. If those that received their PK+MM would post their own short review of it, that would be a good spread of news.
