Question for anyone with the k3 and 100mm wr that previously used k5(and IIs): do you notice significant improvement in live view autofocus? It's sometimes useless on the k5iis, just keeps hunting even when the focus area appears to have good contrast. I don't use it much but sometimes you need it to get low.

It's damn difficult to get decent pictures in aquariums, this is one of the very few that turned out decent... |

anything below f7... , i always get quite nice starts from da15 regardless of pointing my camera at the light source or not. even pointing at the sun (well, the sun is very bright) @ f6 something, the star-bursts will looks good.
Longer exposures doesn't seem to do much, but f8 or below + circle or rounded light source will guaranty nice startbursts, it doesn't have to be very bright either. one thing is to make sure you nail the focus.
i ofter go out at night and my problem, better say it is K5 low light focusing problem too. K5 just give up on focusing anything. i have to do manual focus and the infinity focus on the longer end of my da15 doesn't stop at the infinity sign. it is a bit before infinity just enough to mess up my photo because in the dark i have no idea if things are in focus or a bit off focus. my 4 eyes are not that good too!:(

I came across this photo from my birthday in May 2013. I had overlooked it before and decided a monochrome treatment would work best.
On this day the snow squalls would come in and create a whiteout, blow around for a while and then it would be sunny again. We tried to time the downhill ski portions of the tour with the sun and climb during the snow. It was a great day of skiing and climbing, my favorite way to spend a birthday! Both by a SMC Pentax 135/2.5. This lens is capable of super smooth bokeh, so during the Single in Challenge this month, I thought I'd really try to challenge it: |

Hi, silly me I just realised my Metz 44 is Canon mount and I cannot attach to my K5. Did I mention I just left Canon for Pentax? :)
Pentax hot-shoe looks like this:
And Canon is like this:
Now I will have to replace my Metz 44 with something that has Pentax mount. However, I'm pondering whether differences are more than just mounts and maybe wireless behaviour is different for Canon vs Pentax and this Metz is adjusted to work with Canon?
