Cheers - yeah I figured I have a pretty good collection to keep me out of trouble :p
Actially possibly too many, I also have a 70-300mm I forgot to mention. I'll prolly look as selling this (along with the 28-70) as I've kinda doubled up in these ranges - although I don't think they'll be worth much so may just keep them as spares. Cheers for the heads up on second hand gear - I figured it'd be a dieing market with online/markets being the way to go. Will also start trolling the local second hand bookshops for some photography books.
Am having fun getting a feel for the Camera & playing witht he settings - i really don't know what I'm doing yet so may look as enrolling in a photography short course or something - i really want to be able to get the most our of my camera

Cheers guys. I'm west too (actually Ipswich cause I'm at Collingwood Park). Thought it was easier to say Brisbane though :p
Do you know of any second hand camera markets in town? Or am I best off hunting markets to pick up books/old gear etc??

Hi All,
I've been wanting to upgrade from a point & shoot for years but the birth of my daughter finally prompted my to pull my finger out and make a purchase. I also coach Rowing and love to Surf so will also be using my camera for action/water shots.
I've picked up an old K100D Super to get me started with the 18-55mm kit lens as well as Sigma 28-70mm, 29-90mm (with macro) and 100-300mm lenses. I also have an old Pentax-A 50mm 1.7 lens.
I figure this should be more than enough to get me started - am looking forward to soaking in all the knowledge as I learn how it's done.
Cheers, Drew
