Great captures! I'm guessing from the rocks in the Chamois picture that these are from the Toronto Zoo? I can't wait to go there this year! Hopefully there is more of the "lucky capture" category! (post them as well:p)

I don't know about that, this comparison (looks to be to scale), makes the K-7 look tiny. But not only is it the smallest, it has a huge feature set.
I'm very excited for the K-7. Now if I only won the lottery...

All though it is just a sales video, and the K-7 has some awesome features that I want, it would have been cool to say the whole sales pitch was taken with a K-7. Good find

A job like Megan Fox for the cover of Esquire taken with a Red One video camera? I for one would love to experiment with shallow DOF on video. Or if you subscribe to Geek Brief, Kali's recent update was done with a lens baby. It looked awesome. So I think video is a natural progression.
It's like the CD v Vinyl debate. They both have their place in the market. Deal with it.

So buying something before a well known price increase is screwing him out of money? Yes, the dealer looses money. Yes, he has the right to refuse business. But to say that it is okay for the customer to pay the price increase, which was not part of the original contract, is not in line with the law. A price (contract) was agreed upon, therefor changing after the fact is a breech of contract. which is illegal.
It is hard times for businesses, but to blatantly screw around with your remaining customers is not very bright to say the least.

To my knowledge it is not universal. My flash box says FOR PENTAX so the answer is no.

I own the older 500, but have found it very easy to use. The guide was recommended as I don't know your needs. Make a check-list of what you need, and eliminate the flashes one by one using the guide. good luck!

It is a hardware limitation because the lens doesn't tell the camera what aperture it is set at. Without it, the camera cannot find the correct exposure. It would be very nice if you could select the aperture like with SR. it would be very time consuming if you wanted to switch the aperture on the fly but we can dream...

Holy purple fringe Batman!
Here is mine:
Its a Black's(retail chain) camera backback not bad for a pushed ISO 3200
I think if your bag is too big for you that you might want to carry only one body unless the situation calls for it. Good luck!

I could say something smart like the firmware needs to tell the sensor what sensitivity to be set at before the sensor does anything but...

You just blew my mind with that knowledge :hmm:
sooooo you are saying 200 is 100, 300 is 200 and so on? Aren't all ISOs other than the base pushed?
It doesn't really matter but I'm an inquiring mind (great show btw)

What are ISO 200 to 1600 then? My understanding is that everything above the base ISO is brightened by increasing the sensitivity of the sensor. In a sense pushing the sensor for more light. So are you saying that ISO 3200 is actually taken at ISO 1600 and brightened a stop after the photo is taken? Wouldn't that be labeled on the spec sheet as an "expanded ISO" which the K100D is not labeled as?
Just trying to figure this out...
