I would have to agree with this since I've encountered a few in the wild :lol:. I was in a camera store (Digidirect on Elizabeth St, Melbourne) earlier today to check out a lens I was eyeing and heard someone enquire about the K-3. Saw that he had the K-30 around his neck too.

Thanks all! The first shot there had a barrier to separate the crowd, but the other two didn't so securing a vantage point to shoot from was a must. Yeah, when I was first interested in taking photos of gigs I used to sneak in my old K-r just to build up a portfolio but I mainly went to smaller pub shows where no one cared if you were dangling a camera to practice. Now everything's accredited which makes my life easier.

I've been following this thread silently for a while... Anyway, I ended up meeting Jimbob Productions at this event earlier in the year and he lent me his FA*80-200 for a few shots since I didn't have anything of such focal lengths with me at the time. I think it was also World Pentax day, but I wasn't expecting to run into a Pentaxian let alone be able to test out a new lens! :D

Hi everyone I'm ending my lurk around here. I'm Julia from Melbourne and I shoot with a K-5 along with a K-5 iis. I use them for mainly for concert photography where the K-5 iis' improved AF performs exceptionally well.
The weather sealing is especially important because I've had beer fly out of nowhere and land on me plenty of times. Here are a few shots to brighten up this post :) -
