I got it with the kit lens from amazon ffor $740 a few weeks ago. I am not sure if I want to mess with some reseller.

Product does not exist on their site. B&H and Adorama are perpetually back-ordered. Product does not seem to exist anywhere else.
If this is the case that is a major blow to Pentax and kinda irks me a lot. I really do not want to risk destroying a brand new body with a piece of crap chinese adapter.

Are they making these any more? I cannot find them in stock anywhere. I want to get from old school glass but I am afraid to damage my brand new K-30 with a crappy adapter.

Well I took it out today and got some shots. Like the camera a lot. Apart from the whole LCD thing of course. I will probably get it looked at eventually. I juse hate being without a camera.

Agreed. However there is something I really want to shoot today, and I sort of planned my weekend around it. I will have to take care of it. I am just not going to do it today.

Ya know guys. I NEVER said water proof.
Anyway, the silica gel worked. Bubble is gone.

Well, the silica gel placed over the LCD had produced quite the reduction in water-bubble size. At least there is that.

The camera and the 35mm I got came with silical gel packs. I nuked the packs and have them in a ziplock with it now. We will see.

I am not saying what I did was a good idea. But the marketing material and reviews make it seem like the body should be able to handle ten fold what I did to it.

I didn't even say what happened because I will catch flak over buying Pentax (he is a Nikon guy, and I was for a while too).

So the water traveled through the plastic case, around the lens, and through the lcd to sit behind the glass. Yeah, right.

Not a wr lens, but only the back bottom half the the camera got wet at all.
And for everyone screaming warranty. It still works, the is just water in the LCD. I really do not want to be without a camera for 2 months. It is bull it happened in the first place, and it looks like I am not the only person this is happening to if you google. It looks like the QA is dodgy.

So then I will get a camera back that is not new, of questionable origin, and with a limited warranty.
I am sorry, but I am just venting a bit. I was rather excited over this, and it takes a great picture. This just took all the wind out of my sails. I really, really wanted to give pentax a shot.

I doubt they will RMA over water damage. I am going to see if it lessens overnight and then I will just baby it. A shame really. My first Pentax and this is my experience.

Just got a K-30. slashed a cup of water (2oz) on the back to freak my old man out. This happens:
Boom, $800 mistake. These are about as water resistant as a piece of paper. Be warned.
