You will probably not not need a TC for wild life photography in Yellowstone NP. The animals (bisons, elk, even bear) sometimes are close to the roads in the park, very close... :)

So far I can only agree having upgraded from K-7 to K-5II. The AF is much faster and the better ISO handling has added new value to my DA* lenses.

I have had the exact same issue on a K-7, PNY 8 GB class 10 card just once (don't remember if I was shooting RAW or JPEG). Have used the card afterwards (after formatting) without problems so far. However, I don't know if the problem is related to the camera or the SD card.

After some time following the pentaxforum I finally decided to register and become a member. I am originally from Denmark but for the time being living in North Carolina with my family. I am shooting with a K-7 which I find excellent together with the DA* lenses I have. So far I am very happy with my DA* lenses and cross my fingers that the SDM will stay alive (more important for me than if Pentax soon will come up with a FF camera). I also have a Sigma 24mm Superwide II from my "film days" which does a very good job too. Even though I am fully satisfied with my K-7 I am considering upgrading to K-5 or K-5II mainly to get a better noise control at higher ISO (I rarely use my K-7 at a higher ISO than 800 because of noise). I have travelled through several National Parks in US now with all my Pentax gear and I hope to be able to visit even more of these beautiful parks in the future.

I have noticed the same with my K-7, a weak clicking/buzzing/motor sound when in Live View or recording movies. I don't think it is related to the shake reduction since the sound is still there when SR is turned off but maybe related to the mirror flip up as indicated in an earlier post. If this sound is normal or not I don't know (would be nice to know though).
