So there's been some mention of lens repair in the Single In June thread, and I've got to admit I took bit of a tumble on the bike ride. The 77 doesn't focus right anymore and just sent off a request for a quote from Advance Camera, so I'm out for the last few days of May.

Packed the M28/2.8 with me and I'll jump into June with it, it's quite a nice compliment to the 77.

Just spent the last two days moving out of my apartment and back to my parents, and then packing for the trip. It's 1000, I'm sitting in YVR already, check in is at 1400 and my flight is at 1600...So I have time to get caught up with commenting!

And on the topic of falling off the boat I was going to make a photo of dinner but fell asleep instead. I'll recreate the scene tomorrow and post it as well as a photo for the 6th.
So it looks like my photo of Ginger from yesterday has gotten into Explore. I think that's the second time that's happened to me.

We're going to Paris, Bruges, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Hamburg, and Copenhagen, and won't be back home until mid-June. Other gear I'm taking is my brother's (dngr here on the forums) M28/2.8 and Voigtlander Bessa with the 43 Special.
I've been to Paris before, but was on my own and never really touched my Pentax stuff, should be good to return and go further with other people.

Leica came out with a camera like that, the M-D, for only a mere 6000USD. I could get enough film to last me at least 14 years if I go through just over one roll every single weekend. Versus the 3 years the camera would probably last...

Yeah, the 500 is for the bare minimums, Intel Pentium G4500 - System Build - PCPartPicker Canada
I already had a mouse, keyboard (Das Keyboard Pro 4 Mac for the win!) and monitor for use with my macbook, and a case I got a bit ago and stashed because I loved it that much.

On the topic of PCs, I built a somewhat decent one over the winter. An H170 mobo, Intel Cpu with at least HD530 graphics (Pentium G4500 is what I had), and at least 8GB of DDR4 ram. This let me run pre-sequel Borderlands at 1080 and playable framerates, all for about $500 Canadian.

I was planning on going on a long walk in Francis King park again, bbbbut there's been a cougar sighting out that way, so I'm just going postpone that trip. Police believe there might be two, going off differing reports, and the sighting was only a couple kilometres from my house.

That sounds like the built-in HDR function, if you're going full manual, I suggest using M mode then you can't get funky with the settings. If you are already using M, then I'll need to actually grab my K30 and have a looksie.

I think one day I'd like to get a second FA77 and have Miyazaki san try to convert it to M or M39 mount. Call me a heathen all you want but I love using a rangefinder more than an SLR, and I think that would make for fantastic candid portraits.
On a different note, any votes on what black and white film I should use for day 7? I've got Ilford Delta 3200 (pulled to 1600), Iflord XP2 Super, CFP BWXX 200 and Bergger 400.

Alrighty, I'm back, legs are in full working order, there's no prednisone coursing through my body and school's over. This is not a nifty fifty but it is pretty damn close. I tried this earlier and since it's all film there was a consensus that while posting a few days late after development was acceptable, photos several months old was not acceptable for the heart of the Single In challenges.
I may have to cheat on the 7th day BW, I might not be able to time it right though I will try.

Alrighty, it has been voted that I do not do the SIC with the P-L. In my defence, I did originally post my fairly early in the thread (first page) saying that my photos will be from the summer and no one said no one said anything about it, so I assumed it as all OK.
Sorry for the delayed response, medical stuff happened and I'll be back when I am physically capable of walk for longer periods of time.
I will leave you with Ginger's butt

I will not be using it from the 1st to the 30th, nor have I used it from the 1st to the last day of a month, but I did use it consecutively for a month's worth of days. Those are the photos I will use for this SIC, but they won't be in chronological order.

Yes I will be. My second roll in June was when I got the 43 and has been on my Bessa ever since - it's also the only rangefinder lens I have at the moment, sold off the Nokton 40.

We can compare the FA43 on Digital APS-C to the P-L43 on 35mm film.
I think I tried using film and staying up to date, but it just got far to much for me to handle. So with that all the photos I'll be sharing are from the summer, which won't look that out of place since it's summer right now for all our Australian buddies and anyone else South.

I am coming back for January, if y'all accept me.
My lens is the Pentax-L 43/1.9 Special. It has the exact same optical design as the FA43, but in a housing Pentax had manufactured by Cosina, in a LTM/M39 mount. Only 2000 copies were made, 1200 black and 800 silver, about 15 years ago.
