A3+ = A3 = 124,740 mm^2
the "+" is for edges to cutting, not for printing
so
for FF enlarged is (D800E sensor is 861.6 mm^2) 148 times
for APS-C enlarged is (K-3 sensor is 366.6 mm^2 ) 340 times

I have printed B1 format, 70x100 cm, from my K-5 with fantastic resolution! (Fantastic epson 42 inch printer!)
and
with 300 dpi K-5 APS-c is just.... A3 format :)

after 7 years I quick GIMP
6 months I was angry, annoyed and confused
now, sometimes I use gimp, because of lack of logic (!) few Photoshop's tools, but then I am looking for solution via internet/forums
I have Lr+Ps CC

po siedmiu latach rzuciłem GIMP-a
przez 6 miesięcy się złościłem, byłem poirytowany i skonfudowany
teraz, czasem użyję GIMP-a z powodu braku logiki paru fotoszopowych narzędzi, ale wtedy szukam rozwiązania w internecie/ na forach

A FF sensor is 2,334 times the size of the APS-C sensor.
FF area = 855,62 mm2 (Sony A7, Canon 5D)
APS-C area = 366,60 mm2 (Pentax K-3)
what is this: diagonal^2 ???
FF diagonal = 43,0447 mm
APS-C diagonal = 28,2066 mm
crop = 1,5261x
