Paleo Pete- Really nice macros of the frost. Edge of a dead leaf is really neat.
Mercox - Beautiful pictures. The fourth really stands out to me.
Comprock - Nice street shot! I am not too sure the man on the bicycle was very excited to be photographed, but sometimes that makes for an even better final result.
smf - That looks like a fun contest. Our snow doesn't hang around long enough for that, so we make sand sculptures instead.

Thanks for the opportunity to host POTW. Very nice collection of work this past week, and thanks to Noelcm for hosting next week.

Lukulele - Nice shots of the birds out in the snow. Amazing how much of it we are getting this winter!
Ramseybuckeye - That looks like a great way to kill time at the dealership. Like that second shot of the excavator.
Noel - Thanks for the kinds words. Very nice series you posted too. Egret in flight and you don't want to mess with me are awesome.
Wolfiegirl - Great portraits with the fisheye lens!

I haven't had much of a chance to get out there this week. Nasty weather here, and busy at work. I did manage to take this one though.

Looks like fun. Not many hills here to sled down, though I did see some video of people snowboarding down the dunes on the outer banks.

Nice series. The undergorund is very colorful. Ours seem dark and gray brown...

Welcome to another round of Picture of the Week. This is edition #301 covers 2nd February 2014 - 16th February 2014.

POTW is a great spot to show off any shots you take in the upcoming week, or last week that you haven't processed until now. In other words, you can post your shots from this week AND last week.

Some rules:
1) No theme, just post your favorite pix.
2) 5 or less images per post just so the thread doesn't get too big.
3) Any Pentax or Samsung camera, film or digital.

The current host will invite a new host via Private Message (PM). If possible, the new thread will be linked to the previous one and the new thread will start between Noon EDT and 5PM EDT on Sunday. If the thread doesn't start, please contact bluestringer, Moderator via PM.

This is the first time I have been able to log on and actually see a thread all weekend. I am not sure if it was the site or my connection, but either way I haven't been able to comment.

From the looks of what I have seen on this page, it seems like another exceptional week.

Clou - Those are fantastic shots of the U-bahn! We were there not too long ago but didn't make it down. We will check it out next time for certain, I especially like the first shots of your first two sets. Nicely seen.
Papa Lazarou - Great contributions this week. Very nice BW portraits, shot of the tubes and nature photos. The new lens also look like a keeper !
Matt - Beautiful landscapes! Really like the colors and the crispness of them. The skiing looked like fun too.
RamseyBuckeye - Nice shots of the snowy conditions! Believe it or not, we have had two snows in the past two weeks here. I especially liked Kendrick Woods and the Spencerville freight.
SpecialK - I enjoyed viewing the art from your perspective. That fourth shot is a standout.
Noelcm - I always enjoy seeing photos from other parts of the world. Very nice series. I especially liked the shot of the colorful boats and the spider's nest. The shape of it reminded me of a queen conch shell.
PaleoPete - Very nice series! Great shots of the black vulture and blue jay.
Lukulele - Nice series. The first on of the mallard duck was my favorite of the group.

Having not had a chance to contact anyone about hosting, I will be happy to host again next week unless someone else wants a shot at it at the last minute.

I have one in 135 and 120. Considering the price, they work pretty well. They are a huge improvement over the film holders that came with my scanner.

Amazing shots this week! Really impressive nature and architectural photography. Also really like the b&w shot of the local coffeehouse.

I've been shooting a lot of film lately but haven't had time to process a bit of it, so here is my first digital entry for the week. Shot with a RMC Tokina 28mm 2.8 in c/y mount.

I can verify that you cannot use a 7 element Super Takumar 50mm 1.4 on a Super Program, mirror contacts the element housing at infinity.

Really happy with this lens that I picked up for very liitle $ attached to a nice Spotmatic.
