love the second last :)
try slowing down your shutter speed to get a hint of blur to increase the sense of movement, or try panning your camera to blur the background.

nice work by the way :)

looks quite sharp to me. I love how the tail is just ever so slightly blurred giving the viewer the sense something interesting caught her eye, like a bird maybe?
what was the f stop this was shot at by the way?

Wow I had no idea about this website. I'm listening to the podcast as we speak :D
The segment about large format is EXACTLY what I've been researching the past few days. Thank you so much for introducing me to this :)

Are you a strict film shooter? What formats do you shoot?
Where are you based?

So I've extensively used the lens database here to spend hours researching and unearthing the little gems from years gone by.
I am first and foremost a film shooter. I got bitten by the shutterbug when I saw a Pentax MX with a 40mm -M 2.8 pancake lens attached sitting in the local goodwill showcase. $19.99.... what the hell right?? :D
since that day I've accumulated vast numbers of bodies, lenses, different formats, etc.
I develop and process my own negatives (mostly 6x4.5) but am seriously looking at diving into large format.

Pentax is in my mind the best camera platform ever to be held. from the early M42 screwmount body and lenses to the new k-5 iis (which i plan to buy in the near future along with a few DA* lenses)

I would greatly entertain anyone who would be interested in exchanging developing techniques, personal techniques, or any other photographic banter :p

Its good to finally be a part of the family.
