I was a "film" enthusiast many years ago and it seems the photography bug has bitten me again. I spent many days with various 35mm cameras in hand, but Pentax was always my favored brand. Now that I am back in the hobby, it was inevitable that I would select a K-5.
I have had numerous digital p&s cameras, but nothing to the stature of my current Pentax. Even though I used to enjoy processing my own film pictures, with digital I can shoot continuously and process on my laptop which I find even more enjoyable.
I used to be a licensed "master" road cyclist (bicycle), but due to some rather nasty accidents I am out of the game now. Even so, I would like to start photographing various cycling events. I have a motorcycle and my intent is to position myself at various points along the routes and snap shots as the peleton of cyclists fly by. With that in mind I will be trying to increase my knowledge of all phases of photography plus adding lenses and hardware that will help me capture the intensity of the sport.
Best Regards
