Shutter speed don't have any effect on your flash exposure. It only control your ambient light. If your aperture is at 5.6, be at a 8 feet distance at full power no matter what is your shutter speed. By changing the aperture or distance change the other parameter accordingly. I always get a perfect exposure each time using this technique.

Put the camera on release priority if its on focus priority. That might help.

I was just wandering around in my office when i saw this little bunch of flowers lurking behind the fence. Got inside my office room, pick up my cam and take this quick shot.

First make sure your shutter speed is not exceeding the sync speed of the flash which i think is about 1/180 of a second. Lower shutter speed to 1/160 or something and test.

I have vivitar 28-200mm f3.5-4.5 manual focus A version lens which creates the exact film colors without altering the camera settings.

i have been using philips 25cb flash with 150 trigger voltages on my pentak k-r dslr for the last couple of months frequently without any problem. it is a matter of self-satisfaction in my opinion.

I think LR import pictures without changing their location on HDD. However, if pics are on memory card then you can import the pictures using LR onto your HDD. In any case your HDD will be the final destination to save the pictures. Once you are done with your editing, you can remove the folder from LR after exporting the edited pictures.

In Pakistan 28mm f2.8 price in USD is about 15$, 50mm f1.4 for 30$ to 40$ and 135mm f2.8 for 80$ maximum. But still we think they are expensive!:)
