Buying new gear means learning new gear. Practice usually brings better results.
I have no problems with ISO 1600. I do use DxO Optics Pro 8 to reduce any noise. There isn't much learning curve there. Use the default and 10 seconds later, your picture looks much better.
Monopods help as well.

In my K-30 Manual on page 271, it states: :...set the focal length in the Input Focal Length Screen"

Hello,
Is it possible to attach a field monitor to a K-30?
I need to be able to use a field monitor during video recording. I may want to use it for stills as well.
Does the K-30 retain the capability to capture images while a field monitor is attached via the Pentax I-AVC7 cable?
