When youre traveling for 6 weeks and your intent is photography the 645D sort of becomes an attachment to your right hand at 1.4kg you developthe extra muscels to compensate. The ergonomic hand grip may be something that could be impoved on but as it is the only thing that I can say is take it out of auto focus and control it manualy for those long shots there is always some leaf somwhere that it trys to focus on and by the time you have figured it out the shot has dissapeared.
Happy snapping

I gues this is the place to rant about myself. For those of you who are like fine wine I used to have a Pentax ESll 35mm SLR camera with a 55mm f1.4 lens screw on mount I also added a x2 addapter and a 150mm telefoto lens, unfortunately it broke down and there was no way of having it fixed. So I went out and purchased the latest MZ-5n SLR with a 30-300mm Kaf2 mount auto focus nice lens nice camera till they wanted me to buy film at the price of the factory. Then someone invented the digital camera so I swung over to the Canon range and had a number of Powershot cameras A40, A460, A630, A95 & the G12 good all rounder. My wife and I decided to go on a holiday overseas oooh oooh holiday need new camera gear the bos consented that I would not embarras her by lugging any old cheeasy camera and since I needed a good camera she who must not be argued with allowed me to purchase the 645D and not to push my luck I accepted the standard 55mm lens that came with it. Now came the dillema how to get multiple shots action shots say 7 frames per second the 645D will not do this ah Dear I think you need a better camera also for those far away shots and action shots, well seing its only $1000 ok. So the K5 with a 18-55mm lens became the work horse for the trip although it didnt get to much of a beating during our Alaskan cruise and land tour she averaged 250 shots per day.
then we did the Canadian Rocky Mountaineer, my wife was becoming somewhat of an expert using the K5 and the 2 lenses (yes the K mount 30-300mm works) on the first day on the train she managed to shoot of 760 shots it has to be some kind of record. my average for the 645D was about 250. I am still sorting them out. I apologise for being long winded but attached photo of the arsenal no self respecting amateur would leave home without. Youre not going to beleive it but I had to use my samsung Galaxy note 8mp camera to get the cameras shot.
