A big thank you Falk, for your effort and detailed and objective tests you've performed. I hope you would keep on updating your blog with new articles.
I'm a K10D owner and I think K-7 will be a forward leap. I doubt it'll make me a better photographer though. :)

If you're using bracketing a lot then you could set it in the "user" option on the dial.

If you are using firefox press the movie you wish to watch and then go to Tools->PageInfo (or just press Ctrl+Shift+P) and select media from the top panel and save flash movie onto your pc to watch it.

OK! In low light performance will satisfy, but what about predictive focus/focus tracking? Is there an improvement? Or put it otherwise, is there an algorithm at all?

Yes that would work. You could download the modified bin file here and follow the instructions. When you're done, you could just install version 1.3 back. The changes will not go away.

If there is no flash there might be a built in flash radio transmitter , and a new Pentax flash receiver accessory. That would be great.

If SR's switch is on, lock focus and press the release button before you got the "hand's" indication in the view finder then the picture will be blurred.
Also SR might not fully reduce camera shake when taking close-up shots.

My K10d was sent for servicing in Germany as well. After 7 weeks of waiting time I got it back today, and in general I am happy with the upgrade. However, I haven't thoroughly test it yet to reach to a conclusion but revision number was 8.1.

My K10d has also been sent to Germany to correct back focus problem. Manufacture date was end of Nov. 2006 rev. 1.1. Those who sent it for repair in Europe, how long did it take to get it back?
