Heading to Arizona and Antelope Caverns, the Horseshoe, Grand Canyon. Any general tips or tricks to think about? Much appreciate any ideas.
*edit: K3II, have about every focal length from 12-250 covered in some way.

Would you think OK with the DA*16-50, or is the additional length a necessity?

lol. Okay, worth mentioning what I have at this point.
10-17 fisheye
DA*16-50
DA*60-250
SMC 28-105 or something like that
Tamron 90mm macro
K3II
also have the K10d
To be clear, I will be bringing my other lenses. I wanted to hear if there was one definitive lens I should make sure I have.
What's a CPL?
*edit: nevermind, it's in one of the links from angerdan. I have one of those for my DA*16-50.
Nice! Thanks for those links.
I'm trying to have minimal restrictions; whatever is practical.
I have no problem changing lenses. My wife will have to deal with it in this situation. :D
I think we're going to be limited to the south rim, but will definitely see what flexibility we might have.
Beautiful! I'm hoping I can capture shots that convey the scale of what's there.
I don't think there will be major hikes. I don't know what extent we'll be walking, but nothing hardcore.
I wanted to know that one essential lens in the kit for the trip.
I probably will be taking everything!
Wide angle makes sense and is definitely a consideration. Don't think we're doing an organized tour. I have no problem taking multiple lenses and changing them as needed.
These are the things I want to hear, thanks! Appreciate your thoughts.
That is a concern. I'm hoping the right lenses will help me capture some amount of the drama.
I hope this added information instigates more conversation here. Thanks for all the responses and thoughts so far!

Thanks for this.
I meant to put my camera in the post. Edited. Have a K3II.
Images I want to capture? I don't know, I've never been there. I didn't want to list my lenses because I want to hear: regardless of what lenses I may or may not have, opinions on that ONE lens I should have. I didn't want to put any constraints or preconceived notions on it.

Going to the southwest in the spring. Sedona, Grand Canyon, etc. What ONE lens do I need on my K3II?
Any suggestions, tips, or tricks for while I'm out there are welcome!

Will be going on a little jaunt to Newport and Boston with my K3, K10d, and have a DA*16-50 (and others, but not so relevant here). I thought this would be a good excuse to get the 35mm Limited that I've wanted, but then I started to wonder if it would be too tight and if I should get the 21mm Limited instead. Which one would be a better compliment to my set? I want the lens to give me an excuse to use it over the 16-50. I like the 35 with the flexibility of its macro and image quality, but don't want to get stuck cursing that it's not wide enough. Please share some thoughts and experiences on these as a city walkround!

A follow up to my previous ND filter thread:
I'm looking to get an ND filter, but still not sure of the best options. So, let's take this angle.
I'm mostly interested in it for limited use over the summer (vacation), but thinking it wouldn't be bad to have available.
I want something that will give me some cloud streaking, some water blur (I actually don't like the full long water exposure thing, but I do like just enough to enhance the motion).
Not looking to spend a lot since I question how much use I'll get out of it after the aforementioned vacation.
So, does that help us? Show me some ND filters!

After a lot of thought about gearing up for vacation and replacing a LowePro Sling that's now too small, I'm leaning towards buying a backpack that can store all my gear, but then also can double up as a regular backpack for vacation (as I'm thinking the cameras will be held in holsters during the hikes).
Something like the LowePro ProTactic 350 or the LowePro ProRunner 350 look like they're in the size range I need (but what's the difference between them?)
We'll have long, hot hiking days on vacation, so I'd like to have something that could also be a good backpack for those situations - just some water, bug spray, etc., nothing crazy but comfortable. How are those LowePros just as regular backpacks? What else should I be looking at?

Thinking about getting an ND filter to start playing around with it on landscapes (prepping for vacation in July!) Recommendations on where to start? I was thinking about a 10-stop (correction: 9-stop, actually this one caught my eye: Hoya 77mm Neutral Density ND-400 X Multi-Coated (HMC) Glass Filter A77ND400) as it seems that would give a more drastic effect, but since that seems to be on the higher side, not sure if that would wind up be too limiting.
Suggestions on where to start?

New Jersey (United States) Item Description
Okay, here's the deal on this: About a year and a half ago, the zoom ring started sticking. I never got around to sending it in for service as I still used it a lot.
A few months ago, the lens was in my backpack and it got knocked off its hook. Now the rings are totally locked up. If you look carefully at the front of the lens (I wasn't able to show this in pics since you have to look closely and turn the lens) it looks like it may not be perfectly straight. I'm guessing that once the lens is taken apart to fix the original problem that this can be adjusted.
There is little other wear on the lens, and glass is in good condition. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

I did check eBay, thought it would also be a good idea to check here. I will post some pics here with the camera expanded in the next day or so.

We uncovered this while cleaning out a house - does it have any value (as a collectible, perhaps?) or anything worthwhile? What might we expect to get for it?

Several weeks ago I purchased a K3 from B&H. A few days ago, I caught a link from Adam to an extended warranty for $20. That sounds like a no-brainer and a B&H FAQ notes that you can apply it to previous purchases (within a period of time, of course), but how do I capitalize on it? If I simply purchase it, does it automatically "attach" itself to the appropriate purchase / camera?

Yes, that's a general rule, and they have checked on my way in. Although the 18-135 may be small enough to sneak in...
So it looks like we have the two candidates I expected plus one: The Sigma 17-70, the Tamron 28-75, and the Pentax 18-135. Let's try it this way: if I were to use one of these lenses to take pictures of kids for money while the 16-50 is being serviced, which one would you choose?
