Take the shots both ways and compare them. Then you'll know for sure.

Top to bottom:
The hood I have on the 01 prime; the "proper" 01 hood, on order; the square hood on the 02; and the deep hood on the 06.

I found that transferring using the cable is slower than pulling the card and feeding it into the card slot, so I pull the card every time. Just be careful that the card doesn't go flying across the room - the spring is pretty powerful. (My cats thought it was great fun to chase it.)

Harley-Davidson air cleaner cover. Unfortunately, I left the zoom lens home and could not get out of my own way. Pentax K1000 loaded with Ilford film.

It would be really handy if I could use the Q7's Quick Dial to store camera settings and shooting modes (like U1 and U2 on the K50) instead of picture settings.

Yesterday I switched to shooting JPGs, as I said, and they worked fine.
Today, I decided to go to RAW+, and I found that the "reduced-resolution image data" in the DNGs, instead of being 1920 x 1440, now matches the full-size data.
I swear I can hear the theme to The Twilight Zone starting to echo through my brain.

I made this one out of one of the cheapo slip-on K-mount caps that come with the new lenses. I have some "real" hoods on the way, but this will do for now.

Maybe I'll just shoot JPGs with the Q7, and leave the DNGs to the K50. Photography is supposed to be fun.

FastStone will convert these at full size. It huffed and puffed a bit, and showed "Not Responding" intermittently, but it did finish. Bit depth is 24, though. I specified changing color depth to 8 bits, but... I don't know. The JPGs are actually larger than the DNGs.
IrfanView has an option "Try to load embedded preview image if possible" under Plugins. It was checked. After clearing that, it loads them at full size. And it will convert the 24-bit color to 8.
Talk about jumping through flaming hoops.

Yes. You can choose "Native size only", or "Native and smaller sizes". With the second option, you choose maximum height & width, and it will return two copies.
I can only guess that it's reading that reduced-size field. ---------- Post added 2016-09-23 at 10:30 ----------
I have RawTherapee onboard. I haven't used it much, but I created both an 8-bit JPEG and a 16-bit PNG (at a whopping 57 megabytes!), both at 3992 x 2992, using the DNG in question, with it. That's close enough for jazz.
Also downloaded FastStone. Will check it out later.
IJFR is so easy to use, and fast, as well - it just seems an awful shame that I would have to process the Q7 photos totally differently than those from the K50. Perhaps a note to the developer is in order...

Enclosed please find a screenshot which I just made on my laptop.
On top, some pics I shot with a K50 a week ago. The frames are all 4928 x 3264. I used Instant JPEG from RAW to convert one to a JPG.
On the bottom, some shots with the Q7 from yesterday. Please note that they all measure 4000 x 3000 (PhotoME says 4064 x 3000), but when I use IJFR to convert one, it comes out as 1920 x 1440. If I look at the DNG with IrfanView it also shows it as 1920 x 1440.
That's how the photo above came out small... the camera is set to 4x3; RAW; L with 3 stars as I thought. Addendum: PhotoME is also showing something called "reduced-resolution image data" which shows - you guessed it - 1920 x 1440. When I look at the same item for the K50 shot, the dimensions are not reduced.
Is there anything I can do to stop making these Q7 shots "shrink"?
