I don't think the buyer can claim warranty, if ever needed. Just a thought!

I am wondering if you focus on toddler's eyes using the center focus point and then recompose before actually taking pictures. Whenever I do that, it results in loss of sharpness wide open (since focus plane move farther back than intended).

Well done Rocoh/Pentax! I am glad that I did not switch brands. When I bought my K5 a few years ago I did a lot of research to discover the camera that produced sharpest images at that time. Now if I were to do the same exercise once again for a full frame I would end up with Pentax again. Even though I have no brand loyalty towards Pentax (as I am pretty new to Pentax brand) you guys make some of the best photographic instruments one can buy at affordable prices for a serious hobbyist! Congratulations!!
Thanks to everyone involved and keep up the good work!

Let me find a reason for not buying this lens! I heard it is noisy while auto focusing. Is it really that bad? Tell me yes!

Got one like new. Had to pay more than the price of my K3.
No more lens purchases for rest of the year!

Thanks for all the replies guys .. and reminding me that the person behind the camera matters more :-)
It is very possible that I don't have top notch lenses like those my friends use with their Nikon cameras. My intention is to find out the differences (even perceived differences), between these brands. Originally I was considering Canon and Nikon (if I ever wanted to switch brand), but later replaced Canon with Sony. My interest is purely to find out if there are any advantages to these two brands over Pentax or vice-versa. For example, from what I read, Nikon has more lens options (and cheaper may be?). Sony may be silent (relatively) because of lack of mirror flop etc.
Pentax is not my religion, just as any other brand! This is just business. Only because I stick with Pentax they won't send me a free FF camera!

Thank you! Exactly what I wanted to know!
I am sold and just bought my second Auto Focus prime lens. I think 35mm is ideal to replace normal lens for APS-C format, even though the perception is a little different.
I have an F 35-105, that I received when I bought a used K100D sometime ago. It is so noisy that it was never made to "my" lens collection. F 35-105 must be the noisiest camera equipment in existence! I have also used FA 35-80 and FA 80-200, both are noisy but still acceptable.
