Had a K200D and an assortment of lenses (both digital and older film Pentax and a couple other oldies of various brands) for a bit over 4 years now. Probably only a few more lenses that I really would like, but can't afford. I would like to upgrade the body someday to a K-5, and hope that prices for used keep creeping down in the coming year.
I run all linux computers, so I do my processing there. I had been a Bibble 5 user, but after my last OS upgrade, I found out that Corel had bought out Bibble Labs and replaced Bibble with their ASP, and if I wanted to download a usable copy to install, I had to pay an upgrade fee. Gee, but no thanks. I'm now tinkering with alternatives, but haven't found any that I like all that well.
Most of my photography is family related (2 young children) or nature photography (esp. macros). I've had some experience with film using a Nikon that I ran with a kit zoom lens, but I still consider myself a beginner.
We also have recently bought a small property and are having a go at small-scale farming. As it is the slow season for that endeavor, I am spending a bit more time on the photography hobby, and figured it was time I became a true Pentaxian by finally joining the forum.
So, greetings.
Cheers,
Dave
