Thanks for the replies. Should have mentioned I'm in Ireland so my choice is fairly limited especially when I factor in the postage. I did end up going with an ex-pro charger. No idea if it's any use. If it doesn't work I'll eat my hat and buy an original one. Which I probably should have done in the start. I'll let ye know how it pans out. It was confusing because looking at the images of the items for sale, some of the chargers had different pins showing. I'd presume the two pins are '+' and '-'. But you can't always go by the images!

hi all, i lost the charger for the battery of my K-50. i bought a blumax one from amazon and it doesn't work. It says it is compatible with the DLI-109 but i cant seem to get it to charge. i remember there being 4 contacts on the original battery charger and only 2 on this one. would that make a difference? There are 4 contact points on the battery itself after all. if buying a new one should i go for one with 4 contacts or 2 or should i just forget about crappy third party and get genuine for a bit more money? i was wondering too what the pins do? whether i could maybe try fixing the blumax one i got?

thanks for this veato, i cant believe the difference between the 50mm and then 28mm reversed! i was buying a few bits and pieces today to make a macro setup, i thought the 50mm would do for a while but after seeing this i went and bought a nice 28mm prime:) the tamron looks nice too though! bit more expensive though
