Yea. It's "the crumbled to pieces" that made me ask the question in the first place although in my case it took six or seven years. Thanks to all who replied.

You might want to read a bit of a classic on close-up photography before you go too far. Try "The Manual of Close-up Photography" by Lester Lefkowitz. I searched for it and immediately found a copy for $3.64 plus shipping. I am sure there are other copies available.
