Updated with a huge benefit of including the grip in the price. Usually the grip goes for around100 by itself.

Also willing to trade it for a 50mm 1.4 takumar plus another great m42 lens.
Or alternatively a 50/1.4 k mount lens and another couple of manual focus k-mount lenses.

I need a quick sale so now price includes the BG10 grip too. Priced to sell quickly. You can never find ine with grip (or without a grip) for so low on ebay.
****Camera includes body only. Grip sold seperately. Lenses not for sale. Camera has been recently tested and works perfectly.******

well, yep, that's basically it. For 35mm you additionally have Ektachrome 100. Well to be honest those are the films I'd shoot with anyway even if others were available, but I am not paying 30 euros for a developed (not scanned) film of 36 shots. I think it is too expensive for what it is.
Since I do love slide film I think I will be shooting expired films for the time being. I found a pretty large lot of fridge stored Agfa RSX II 50, and Agfa Precisa 200 and I am thinking of buying some.

I did that last week. I processed with the 6 bath E-6 process myself actually. The experience is pretty nice. But our computer screens have spoiled us.
I just cannot justify the cost really for this actually. I have a couple of Ektas to shoot probably next week, but I somehow cannot still convince myself to keep on paying those prices for slide film. Don't get me wrong. I love is very much too. But I am not sure if I am willing to support it nor do I know many people who are and actually buy slide film. All people I know that shoot film, they shoot negatives.

Main problems are crazy expensive prices for film and availability of processing labs and associated high costs that come as a side effect. Expensive film prices cause the lack of labs that process them and so it goes.
There used to be consumer slide films (elite chrome, by agfa) and nowdays we are just limited to Velvia and Ektachrome. Where I live the cost is around 17 Euros (around 20 dollars) for 12 6x6 frames, or 36 35mm frames. I won't even mention the large format costs. For 3 euros you get the awesome C200 by Fuji and for 8 euros you get the amazing EKTAR which probably blows away the Ektachrome, even in quality of color.

I personally think it's slowly dying. We are probably close to the end of the line.

You probably already know this. But I find it amazing that on the MZ-S you can roll your film into the canister, leave the leader out, and then come back and re-insert the film and continue from the frame you left off. I am not sure if there are any other cameras that have this feature. Do you know of any? Great way to change ISO speed, or switch from B&W to color without finishing the film you already have inside.

Ouch!!
Do you think this crack on the rim which has the letters and brand name of the lens affect image in any way (like let light go in etc?)?
I wouldn't think so, but I'd like to here your opinions.
Thanks

LX is kind of bulky besides expensive. It's a very attractive camera. I'll buy one too in the end. I already have more than 20 Pentaxes.

The 28-70 has a more attractive range than the 35-70 but the reviews here claim that the 28-70 is a mediocre lens in contrasty to the 35-70 which is considered a great one.
Opinions on that?
I am almost decided on the 35-70 but you got me wondering about the 28-70 which covers more of a wide angle. But I don't like soft lenses.

thanks for the suggestions. What generation of bodies did those lenses normally come with? Sometimes bundles of bodies + lens are cheaper than buying the lens itself.

Just bought one from ebay in good condition and perfect working condition for 12 euro. Around 20-22 incl. shipping. Is this a good price? I think it was great.
I would like a suggestion for a zoom lens or maybe prime lens suggestions.
I do have an original pentax m42 to k adapter as well as a couple of non-original ones. I have lots of Takumars. But I'd rather have K auto focus lenses.I already have a TAMRON 80-200 lens for it too.
I read the reviews on the 28-80 and 35-80 SMC film lenses that came as kit, and they seem to be bad lenses with no sharpness. I'd like to avoid.
Any suggestions that will stay in low budget like the camera body.
I also have two 18-55 DA's from my istDS and my K20D. Could I also use those for a range in which they don't vignette? Will the aperture work? Is vignetting fully visible in the viewfinder? I don't use them anymore because I use the 16-45 DA lens which is incredible.

Good points.
The tricky part is that with the automated camera you'll always be tempted not to use the manual settings. So you may not learn. With manual settings you are forced to make use of them in order to make a picture that is decent. So you tend to leard a lot more about exposure, diaphragm, film etc.

Lenses are no problem. I have m42 and k lenses to give with the camera. And if I was to go for a k mount manual I'd rather have an ME super or MX due to the smaller size and portability.
But the real dilemma is the choice between generations. Autofocus AE or fully manual (AV at most) ?

If I decide to go for a fully manual camera, I'd prefer as spotmatic F better than a K1000. For some reason I don't like K1000s as much even though they are the same cameras with K mount.

I want to make a Christmas gift. A film camera for a beginner in film photography and a point and shoot digital user with a good eye for photography.
I was thinking of a ZX-5n or maybe an ME Super or maybe even back to a mechanical camera like the spotmatic.
What are your opinions on that? What would the better choice be?
The more manual the camera controls are the more the user will learn. The more automations the camera has like autofocus AE etc, the easier it will be for a beginner.
It also must be portable so that they actually take it with them wherever they will go.
Suggestions between those choices or maybe something else?

You are right I was confused. I meant magnification
Take a look here
Pentax ME
He says that it actually does more than the 8seconds the shutter is rated for.

I have quite a few spotmatics. And if you gently slap the release button, the mirror sticks up. You press it again to release the shutter. I am not sure if this works on the ME. I was just looking into expanding my collection, and also using a smaller film SLR than the spotmatic.

I notice it has a coverage of 0.88 while the ME super has 0.95. Is that a big difference ? Easy to appreciate?
I think I like the F better since it has focus confirmation. Or is it just a waste of time?
Also I'd like to ask the following:
The typical specs have speeds down to 4 seconds. I think it has down to 8sec on the viewfinder. And I've read that according to the light meter measurements it will got to many more seconds.
I am asking as I am particularly interested in night photography.
Also is the mirror slap harsh? And can I have pre-release of the mirror by using the self timer?
