turning them on, I get a meter...but it's not the light meter. light meter is working only when I use the preview dial...not convenient, but a hassle, not enough fingers. ---------- Post added 09-12-16 at 02:17 PM ----------
so what your saying is when I am ready to shoot a non pentax lens (already told the camera the focal length), I have the camera in manual, set the aperture, that all I have to do is press the green button and shoot?

I have a k-3II, I played around with the menu setting up the camera...when I focused through the viewfinder I didn't have a light meter (shooting manual). I am using a 55mm Mamiya lens with adapter. So how do I get the light meter to work? Thanks, Frank
The light meter only works when I use the the preview dial

no...have to get a light reading/shutter speed reading by touching the green button...you'll notice when taking the light reading when touching the green button, the shutter speed will change...thanks to everyone who tried to help...I eventually called Ricoh/Pentax and the customer service rep walked me thru it. Thanks Again

I have a couple of medium format lenses I use on my sony A7 that I want to use on my K3II. Does anyone know the aps-c equivalent of the lens? I know the 35mm equivalent was roughly 70%. They are mamiya 645 lenses. Thanks, Frank

Just bought a new K3II...I would like to shoot manual using 'manual' speedlights that I already own. Am I doing something wrong, nothing happens. Does this mean I have to buy flashes that are proprietary to Pentax only? Thanks, Frank ---------- Post added 01-22-16 at 07:11 AM ---------- I figured it out...no problems
