Rollei TLR filter sizes?

Your intuition about what is important makes sense from a strictly logical point of view, but I think you'll find that the _most_ important thing is that a standard name be attached to a standard size so that everyone's on the same page. On that question, Rollei settled on the 30mm filter size measurement. So, for purposes of your sale, that's what matters most. That's why people who sell bay 1 mounting items (like this hood amazon.com : Bayonet 1 (Bay1/B-30) Mount Lens Hood for Rolleicord, Rolleiflex, Yashica EM, Mat, Mat-124, Mat-124G TLR : Camera & Photo?tag=pentaxforums-20& ) also identify them as "B30"

You mentioned that your interior measure was 30mm. That's what works with my Rolleiflex automat. If you're still craving more info there's always the Rollei club pages (where you can see which 3.5's, like the Planar, are Bay 2, and which (like my Tessar) are classed as Bay 1.
That link is below.
What I can say with confidence is a 30mm interior with the usual bayonet connectors fits my Automat, and is a Bay I.

The 30mm interior fits my f3.5 Rolleiflex Automat, and so will also fit the other f3.5 Rolleiflexes, Automat, Yashicamats. It's bay I.

One of the better definitions of happiness: looking in all the shop windows and realizing that there is nothing there you want.

Thanks for the Marine band, LaurenOE. From the glow of the exit signs I do get a sense of how dark that room was. I'm worlds away from trying to make a living with my photo gear. If I had to make a living and couldn't exercise as much choice over lighting conditions as I have as a amateur, I might feel differently.

I am like some of the other posters here (and yourself) in that I love Pentax, have warm a fuzzy feelings for the gear that I have, but I'm not a photo monogamist! I'm even willing to part with some of my Pentax gear. Lately, I shoot film in medium format with 120 I re-spool onto 620 for one of my beloved Kodak Medalists, but the thing that keeps me with Pentax hasn't been a dedication to cameras but the lenses. I own exactly zero Pentax digital bodies and the reason I started buying Micro 4:3 was so that I could put my over-supply of old manual focus Pentax glass to use. I'm really very happy getting extra-stops out of my Olympus EP-5's image stabilization and I'm still delighted with the results -- people are writing Olympus's obits too, I know.

I don't know if I could create that kind of video that you've posted (I'm more for stills), but I would give it a try with my 50mm Pentax f4 macro on the EP-5. I love that lens. I'm not sure I'm the kind of devotee that will keep Pentax in business, but I sometimes think that we fall into the false belief that for a company to survive it must do everything a current pro needs to compete with other pros. There has always been a thousand ways to make satisfying images, and these days --and thanks to quality construction techniques for older MF gear-- that number keeps ballooning. So long as Pentax gear lets people make the images they like, it will always have customers. I may not shell out for a K-1 or their next full frame but that doesn't mean they are unsustainable.

How do you scan your film?

I use a Epsom V600 for 6x9 and 35mm. Yes, massive TIFs result from 4800 scans on medium format color negs. I've been pleased with the results. My strategy for dealing with long scan times: the scanner stays connected to a laptop rather than my desktop. I just let it go, My bigger problem: Lightroom wants to back up these monsters to the cloud. I became allergic to my cable company's tactics and switched a good enough DSL service some time ago. When these huge files started to hog up my bandwidth I contemplated going back to cable service. Then I compelled Lightroom to do its business locally and things are back to normal.

ES Electronic Shutter Question

Just won a nice looking ES with the 50 1.4 SMC and some other nice stuff, but I've got a problem and question for other ES users. The camera came with a battery, it registers less than full power on the battery test (not below 30, if I'm recalling the manual correctly). I've also noted that the shutter fires on automatic, but not at the speeds that the camera seems to choose. Shots that should be at slow speeds are not slow. Is this something I can expect to fix with a new battery, or is it a more serious problem?

I plan on replacing the battery with a 28L, but I thought I would ask you all first
