This ever happened to my K10D once! I was taking a photo of my little brother, I don't quite remember exactly what I did - either tapping the shutter button twice, or keep pressing halfway on the shutter button - perhaps the second was more likely to happen, and then the shutter closed twice. It then produced a double exposure shot in a single picture. I kinda like it though, my only regret that it was done accidentally - and I have no idea how to control it!

I had never seen any Pentaxians in my life, never until I got into college. Never until I got into my second year (which is now :P).
I saw that other Pentaxian at my college campus back then. He was a metallurgy major kid, the same year with me (second year). He was filming a video with a Pentax K-r and a manual lens (I don't know what lens it was). I was merely peering him from afar, not even daring to ask or starting a conversation. I was just peering.
And shortly after I was inaugurated as my major's student union member, my student union held an event. I was taking my K10D, and then one of my friends looked at it and said "It's a rarity to see people shooting with a Pentax DSLR".
Well, there you go. I think you can see how lonely I am as a Pentaxian. Everywhere I peer during some events (or peering on huge crowd brandishing some DSLRs), all I see is people carrying Canikons/Sony. While then there are other rare DSLR, it happens to be an Olympus. Sometimes it just gets me to sadness when thinking how lonely I am as a Pentaxian :(.

Again, thank you! I've been shooting in some jazz events since 16th November 2012 (well, still quite recently going into shooting concert photos ;) ) and been wandering around this forum looking for tutorials for shooting in this conditions. When I checked out your tutorial, it turned out that I have done many of what you told in it, except several things : telephoto lens usage and exposure control (not mere ISO/aperture/shutter speed control, yeah).
All this time, I usually use Pentax M 1:1.4 50 mm lens for shooting (which is definitely for its wide aperture). The lens however, isn't always enough for taking the band group photo, so after my first time taking photos in the event, I also took my kit lens DA 16-45 mm for taking group photo. Focusing, I think, is still quite a problem for me (although not as big as it was on my first time). While I think that I was getting better at focusing manually using the prime lens, it is sometimes just quite difficult for me focusing using the kit lens (oftentimes I got the background sharper than the group :'( ). I tried focusing manually using the kit lens, but it was a hit-and-miss attempt (in fact it is actually harder to focus manually with the kit, which makes me wonder now why did I do that anyway =_=).
Anyway though, for the ISO, I usually use ISO 800. Sometimes I use ISO 1100, but I tried to get used with ISO 800. Can't bear the noise on the higher ISO than 800 .
*errm* Do you think you can give any thought/critic/advice on my condition?

I'm not under 16 anymore now, but when I started, I was well below it (12). I am now 18, and sporting a K10D, still the very same camera I used since I started :D.

(or evening, or night, depends on where you are...)
I am from Indonesia, finally decided to join in after lurking for a while in this forum.
Anyway, this is the second forum I've joined :p . I wasn't an avid forum enthusiast back then
I shoot with pentax K10D. I started shooting with it since 7th grade in 2006, right until today it's still my only DSLR camera ;) (want to change to other camera though, such as K5 II or might even tried film SLR, but I have lots of other things to be considered financially so.. :s).
Glad I can finally join here!
